DJ Hellfire Posted January 26, 2006 Share Posted January 26, 2006 My uncle's 97 LS keyless entry still will not program. We have tried two different remotes, both with new batteries. The place he bought the car from couldn't even get it to program. Then I tried wandawoods instructions and still no success. We could not find any switch to the the keyless entry on and off. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? I am thinking maybe the keyless entry module/reciever might be bad, but it seems unlikely. sha4000 Posted January 27, 2006 Share Posted January 27, 2006 i bought a key off of ebay and could not program it for the life of me, this was back in the summer so i put it up b/c i was just going to have th dealer do it, so i tried it one more time a couple of weeks ago and i got it on one try. just reread the instructions carefully and keep trying,make sure the steps are all the same in the different set of instructions Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
93Miata Posted January 30, 2006 Share Posted January 30, 2006 You might be using the wrong remotes. Ebay has the wrong ones listed a lot of the time. All I needed was to add remotes to my receiver. I got new units for about 1/3 dealer price for my 98 ES300 & 96 SC400 on - http://www.ThePartsYouNeed.com They seem to have remotes & instructions for everything on their site.
