Glovebox Air Vent

in my 2001 RX300 it has an automatic air vent into the glovebox coming from the outside.

Is there anyway to close this? During the winter I have some cold air blowing around my glovebox border becuase of all the air coming from that vent.

Also when I open the globebox for something it is like a huge fan of cold air blowing in

I think that's where your cabin air filter is supposed to be, and then a plastic cover that closes off that slot.

I don't have that problem in mine. Must be something broken or missing in yours.

I agree sounds like the cover for the filter assembly is missing. Better go to Lexus and see if they can get the part or find one in a junk yard.
