SW03ES
I finally got the chance to get the car in for the blinking A/C light. The culprit? A bad A/C relay thats on national backorder, not one in the whole country. Could take as much as a month or so. In the meantime I have no A/C but more importantly, no heat. So now I'm riding around in a $40,000 car with no heat. There was a brand new LS430, silver with black interior Modern Luxury package sitting out there too...bet that has heat ;) Just thought I'd keep everyone up to date. wwest
I'm thoroughly puzzled, why no heat? FedX me the relay and I will fix it. Edited January 3, 2006 by wwest
SW03ES
Beats me, it does blow air but it gets neither cold nor hot. Thanks for the offer of fixing the relay! If it takes too long I might just take you up on that.
camlex
Hello, There is NO A/C relay.. send me the part no. There is magnetic clutch relay. Thanks,
wwest
Yes, and a failure of the clutch relay should NEVER result in the lack of heat unless there is another problem.
SW03ES
The part number is 90987-02028
lenore
If it is a magnetic clutch you can take de ox and spray on the clutch spring, this will free it up and i have fixed them this way 100 % of the time. When I used to work for the X my equipment was full of these clutches. Usually the spring gets dry and corrodes on the mounting armature.
