nguyen Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 My 95 ES300 is making rattling noises in the rear of my car when I go over any bumps. They seem to be getting louder. I think it might be my struts. Any ideas???
FLiP Sp33d Posted July 17, 2003 Posted July 17, 2003 most likely yea :( it could be the wheel bearings, but there would be noise even on smooth pavement. i experienced rattling noise at the front end of my car when going over small bumps but not on smooth pavement. the mechanic told me the struts were a little bad and i could still drive the car but since its a luxury car, the noise can get really annoying i suggest having your car check out by a mechanic and if it is your struts, there are some being sold in ebay on a daily basis.
bbsal Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 also may sound stuipid but check your center caps on your rims and make sure there tight.i had a noise once in the front of my car when i hit a bump and it was that.if not then its most likely the struts.
SKperformance Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 you say rattling usually the bushings in the rear suspension goes and causes a squeeking if it is a rattle than it would need to be checked by a shop it could be a bolt loose in the trunk
