But I discovered that it wasn't the e brake that controls the DRL (at least not by itself), the DRL comes on when I first shift out of park, after releasing the e brake. Now a related question is, is there a way to turn off the DRL without cycling the ignition ? If not, then I think this is an oversight of Lexus designers, because there are many circumstances I can think of where its undesirable to have the DRL on while parked with engine on. 91L3xus Posted September 19, 2005 Share Posted September 19, 2005 All I could do to remedy that was to remove the DRL fuse in the engine bay.
