Hello,

Does anybody know how many years the CV joint boot will last?

Everytime I change the oil, I always check and look at it and it looks good, but i never know when to change it.

Any ideas?

If it is oem about 5-7 years

after market 3-4

Way too many variables for it to degrade though.

If the boot is recently ripped or cracked and no bearing play can be found then you only need to replace the boot not the whole axle.

Get the OEM boot kit from toyota ,it is only about $70
