ssimpson6 Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 I just got a quote from my local garage (not lexus). They want 2000 for struts all around and 2 rear bearings. About 600 for the bearings installed, 600 for struts + labor 275 for front and 383 for rear. Then I guess add the tax. Sounds high but I am in the dark on this one. I am handy and can probably do the struts myself but I have not been able to find them online. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to sell it and it is really not worth it to me to drop 2K in the car. 93 LS400 130K
ssimpson6 Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 I have an email into the dealer to answer that question (my VIN is JT8UF11E2P0155982). I have never looked but I do not believe I do. Is there a quick way to check it visually?
SKperformance Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 SHould be a button for suspension position or dynamics ,not sure where it is on your but it can usually found by the shifter
ssimpson6 Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 I do not have air susp. I have searched the internet for two days now looking for struts. I has seen people says $51 a piece but have yet to find them. I can only find them for around 100 a piece (400 total). Any clues.
914lps Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 I have a 91 LS 400 without the air suspension. I have found all four struts on Ebay for inder 250.00 (KYB brand). A locale shop here in my small town will do the instale for $250.00 for all four with an alaiment.
