SKperformance
that is fine a synthetic would be best for an older engine maybe a 15w-30 for added protection from wear
SW03ES
sk, I've always been told to be careful with synthetic on older engines because of leakage as the old sludge is cleaned away...
steviej
I had a 93 Bonneville SSEi, switched to synthetic at 85k and used it till I traded the car at 155k. Never a leak, but then again, never any sludging. If it starts to leak, then switch back. If the oil was changed religiously previous to you owning it, then you shouldn't have any problems. Make sure the formula that you choose says "for higher mileage engines" steviej
