Es330 Navigation

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how to enable functions like DEST on the ES330 nav system while the vehicle is moving?  When the car is in motion, the passenger cannot enter a destination.

You Can't! That's the way it was designed. Read the Navigation Handbook that came with your car....it'll give you the reasons for this "Safety" feature. B)

There are a couple of people in the electronics section that have either purchased a harness from doctorbypass or have made minor wiring 'corrections'directly behind the unit.

I'm not sure if these cover the newer NAV systems, but maybe contacting them directly will get some answers.

The listings are under Lexus Owners Club Forums -> General Lexus Forums -> Audio / Video / Electronics Forums.

Hope this helps.

yes you can override the system, goto the volume screen, use your finger and tap on the upper left hand side of the screen, just above the strip of adjustment numbers and than tap just below the strip of numbers, do this several time back and forth...once the screen changes you'll see a series of buttons you can push, push and hold the "override" button for several seconds. your NAV system has now been overriden and can be used while moving. hope this heps. please be careful while driving
