meddle Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 Yesterday the heat index here was 106 and that black leather interior turned my car into an oven. I decided to do something about it and went to a local window tint shop to ask about getting the car done. My plan is to get 20% on the back and quarter panels, and 35% on the doors. What do you guys think about tinting the windows on an SC300? Do you think im making the right choice for tint darkness? Should I tint the moon roof? Here is my car: http://community.webshots.com/photo/707819.../74309495NbySlT
UCF3 Posted June 13, 2003 Posted June 13, 2003 I'd recommend a silver-black tint. Since your car is silver, it might be kind of interesting to look at. I will warn you, if you put tint on your up/down windows, the motor will be under extra pressure to lift the glass up. The tint tends to resist. By the way, I would recommend staying legal, so you might want to check that out. I'd say, go for it.
AWJ Posted June 14, 2003 Posted June 14, 2003 Tint it. All my cars are BLACK in the windows. It is very cool. I don't worry about the sunroof. Your call.
grnsc40095 Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 I tinted my SC400...It's a good investment protecting the interior of your car. Tip on the Silver tint…I heard it could interfere with radar detectors…That is, if you own one.
meddle Posted June 17, 2003 Author Posted June 17, 2003 I went with the usual smoke tint at legal levels. 20% on the back and quarter panels and 35% on the doors. Ill have some pictures tonight.
