I had the after market alarm hooked up to the stock alarm. ← hello james. Im sergio. Im 20 and own my own install shop. there is a wire in i think the pass. kick pannel that is called the factory alarm disarm wire. on ur remote start, there will be a wire that will send a negative pulse to this wire in the car that will shut that fact. alarm off. the place that put it in should have done this. if u have any quest. u can call me @ 216-376-4515 -surge-
SCoupe
Sergio, Is there a way to get an audible confirmation or a light blink when I activate/de-activate my factory alarm on the '94 SC300?
SPORTcoupe300
Yes. =) When you lock/unlock, the alarm sends a +12V pulse to the mechanism in the door. You tap that and connect it to a relay. (Read up on the use of relays first) You can then use the relay to power anything you want. (ie. a small horn or your foglights) Good luck. ~Alan
SKperformance
I will then chirp after it is installed but it will only be a single chirp either way so you won;t know if it is being armed or disarmed
