4482 Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 I just purchased a new 2005 RX330 that was made in October. Is there any need to wait to wax it ? I had once heard you should wait 30 days to allow the paint to dry. Thanks in advance !
SW03ES Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 Thats an old wives tale, you can apply wax now. That MAY be true for repaints but not for factory paint jobs, its been long since 30 days ago that car was painted. Even if it hadn't been the paint is hard cured at the factory. In fact unless you asked them not to the dealership waxed it before you took delivery. Enjoy!
SKperformance Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 depending on where it was made it may have sat on a boat for well over a month . Either way factory finishes are baked so they are already cured
