Annoying squeak/rattle

Recommended Posts

Been having a rattle/squeak for quite a while outside the vehicle. Rattle at idle and squeak over bumps. Newish toytech coilovers. Greased SPC UCA’s, drive shafts. Skid plates removed. Sway bar endlinks in good shape. Rear link bushings all ok. New tie rods, wheel bearings/hub, and cv’s. LCA’s bushing look ok. Exhaust shields all tight. Cats to muffler gasket new. What am I missing? 116k on the clock. Everything that can be greased is greased. Silicone WD on things without zerks. Anyone have an idea? Appreciate it.

Greetings, Mitch.

Did you hear the sounds right after the component installations? Did you try using a mechanic's stethoscope underneath your GX with someone pushing down on the bumper or fender? Did you do the installations, yourself?

The curse of having perfect hearing is, what most others do not hear, can be annoying. My little one and wife hear what I do not.

With perfect hearing I believe not many cars are silent. New or old.
