lexusk8 Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 (edited) These pics were taken after an early Sunday morning wash/polish/glaze/seal/wax session. Weather was beautiful for mid-October in New England, not to mention the scenery B) Edited October 18, 2004 by steviej
steviej Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 lexusk8, I edited you post because the http address of the pics you posted were for the full sized picture and they were huge. Too much scrolling left and right as well as up and down. This way they fit in the frame left to right. Hope you don't mind. As for the shine.....totally awesome!!! When can you do mine? steviej
NeiLtYmE Posted October 19, 2004 Posted October 19, 2004 gorgous mate. Your Newer style wheels complement very well. i ve not been fan of the two tone very much, but i must say those wheels actually make the 2 tone look really cool !
lexusk8 Posted October 20, 2004 Author Posted October 20, 2004 Thanks for the compliments guys! Neiltyme, I thought the same way about the wheels when I had them installed 2 months ago. I was getting tired of the stock 16's (the ones with the double 3-spoke design), not to mention that 3 of the wheels have curb rash. Scored an awesome deal on Ebay, and this by far is my most favorite mod on the ES. I really think these wheels look better on my gen ES than on the '02+ ES B)
93LSOwner Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Wow. Nice ride. B) My favorite ES year model in my favorite color. Those wheels look preaty cool when they are spinning also. But, I don't know about standing still. <_< But I won't change them if I had an > 01, neither. :P
NeiLtYmE Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 i think they look a bit too small for the 02 and up models. There wheel base is very large and the wheels dont quite match up. the 05 models have the 17's, a much better look. Did you shoot your ride quality at all? I doubt its much of a difference with 17's
SW03ES Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Unfortunately the 17s on the 05 do make a difference in ride quality...
NeiLtYmE Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 i dont doubt it at all. Those tires are much thinner. But u doubt that the ride is dettered to the point where it makes it drastic. They should have had larger tires on the 17's.
SW03ES Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Eh I wouldn't have bought one I think, or at least I would have immediately swapped the 17s for 16s. 17s and even 18s don't seem to make much difference on the LS, but they make a big difference on the ES.
DobieG Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Your car looks great! Love the scenery, as well.
