jeptik
I just had 3 fuel injectors replaced and am getting really good performance on my engine, however I have started to notice that there is a "lazy" shift in my gears from 1st to 2nd. It takes a while to shift to 2nd and in the process the engine rpm's goes up to between 4-5. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?? I am going to replace the transmission oil and filter to see if it will make a difference. Are there additives that I can use to help? Lexusfreak
Does this condition you describe happen when the engine is still fairly cold or does it still happen after you have been driving for 20+ minutes or so? Be as specific as you can gents. B)
lexusk8
It takes a while to shift to 2nd and in the process the engine rpm's goes up to between 4-5. ← That's definitely not right. Normally it should shift in the range of 2,000 - 2,500 RPM between 1st and 2nd. Tranny fluid should be changed via the "drain-and-fill" method every 30K miles (or if you do a lot of hard/aggressive driving, 15K miles). While you're at it, get the tranny filter and gasket replaced as well.

steviej
before we go and flush or drain, we still haven't ruled out the fact that it may be temperature related. steviej
