  1. I just had 3 fuel injectors replaced and am getting really good performance on my engine, however I have started to notice that there is a "lazy" shift in my gears from 1st to 2nd. It takes a while to shift to 2nd and in the process the engine rpm's goes up to between 4-5. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?? I am going to replace the transmission oil and filter to see if it will make a difference. Are there additives that I can use to help?
  2. The tests came in fine...dealer said they were all within the range they were supposed to be....however cylinder 3 at the rear and cylinder 4 in front were not "firing" properly...
  3. The other thing I should mention is that the dealership told me that two of my cylinders were not firing properly...they did a compression test...that's why I was thinking faulty injectors...
  4. I get the feeling that an injector flush and a "motorvac" that you are referring to are two different things....can you advise me on the "motorvac" treatment??
  5. I had my injector flush done at my mechanic and it cost me $80. No codes were showing up on the scanner....my mechanic and the dealership (Erin Park Lexus) checked it and nothing on the scanner. However, the "Check Engine Light" came on yesterday, so I am hoping that if it is scanned now, the codes will pop up... My mechanic is checking to see if he can get "used" or "rebuilt" injectors....a new one costs $170 + tax. My vechile is a 1992 with 370000K and rust spots, so I really don't want to shell out too much money on it...
  6. Did that, skperformance, helped a bit and then the problem returned.....
  7. Well I took the car to the dealer and after spending over $300 they were able to tell me that 2 of the injectors "might" be bad. Can you believe that, they can't diagnose the exact problem after hooking it up to the machines...at CDN$107 per hour I decided not to have it fixed at the dealer...so I am taking it to my mechanic, CDN$50 per hour to have the injectors replaced. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that would fix the problem :(
  8. Actually the problem started before I had the work done....it improved slightly after, but still having the loss of power. P.S. I have always used Super unleaded (Octane 94 - Sunoco) in my car.... Bryan, what's the verdict from the dealer????
  9. i have been reading your postings with interest, since I am having a similar problem....I am experiencing a loss of power on acceleration...changed the plugs, rotor, cap, ignition wires, fuel filter and also flushed the injectors...the problem still persists. My mechanic now suggests that it might be one or more of the fuel injector that might be bad. I also have a 1992 ES300...automatic. Would really like to know the outcome of your trip to the dealer......
