I own a 2000 rx300, I went to check the brakes and to my surprise my impact wrench didnt have the power to remove the lock nut, took it to sears to have them do a tire balance and all they did was destroy my lock nut socket! any ideas?

Who last put them on?

Sears eats them then sears pays for them.

now fill in the blanks

what socket is it

where did you get it

who makes it

do you want to replace with another security socket set

76 lbs is the torque recommended by the manual, but usually tire shops put up more. I broke mine long time ago and did not bother getting new lock nuts. Instead, I went to my dealer and got 4 regular lug nuts, used but for free.
