Quiter Door Closing?

My driver and Passenger doors close rather loud on my 96ES300, Does anyone know how to make the doors close quieter? its like almost a loud rattling slam when they are closed...since i dont have kids, the back passenger doors close nice ,crisp and quiet....n-e suggestions?

ps:..how do you reduce wind noise thru the windows as well?

You could try adjusting the door jam plate, up or down, in or out. You'll need a large phillips head screw driver to loosen it.

new weather stripping around the door and door opening is a possibility.

the jam plates hardly move it is probably from someone leaning on them when open

you need to get the hinges adjusted to get the door and window aligned properly, or you willl get lots of noise from air leaking on the highway

I have a small rattle noise that sounds like it's coming from my side mirror (on the passenger side) when I close that door. Is the mirror loose or is that unlikely?

I suggest new weather stripping as well & making sure the two front doors are properly aligned.
