    • I found the problem.  The receiver for the key fob is in the rear view mirror.  I replaced the mirror and it now works
    • 2001 Lexus RX300 in gold with original reflective window tint and great interior with black leather electric seats. Clean title!!  220k miles.  150k engine swap is probably at 180k now.  Was just informed that the tranny is pretty much toast, so I have to sell the most comfortable car I have ever owned. The car starts, and is located at a car shop owned by my friend right now.  There is NO balance owed to take the car from the shop, it's free and clear. It will likely drive up onto a trailer!  I don't have any pics because it's over at the shop, but I will! Recently got new brakes, alternator, battery. Engine swap with 150k a couple years ago.  Tons more on my paperwork.  You could have the shop it is parked at do the transmission if you want, but they quoted me like 4.5k so I don't want to do it.  Issues:  The window on the front passenger side sometimes has issues, but it always works eventually.   The back passenger door does not open from the outside and doesn't auto lock/unlock. The two doors were from a junkyard because we were side swiped.  it only caused cosmetic damage. Very casual oil leak that will make your driveway look like !Removed! after 5 or 6 months. Headlights are weak/old/yellow/dim. The body has some Scratches and scuffs.  Nothing bad really.  Windshield has a crack.  2 new tires on the front in 2023. The radio sounds pretty good and the seats are amazingly comfy.  Seat electrics still work.  Front passenger side tweeter gets a little fuzzy sometimes. If you were to replace the transmission,  this car would likely give you a few more years.  We have a replaced a lot in the last 4 years!!  If this one is in better shape than yours, put your transmission in it! If you have the patience and skill to take it apart and sell everything online, you'd probably do pretty well!  I don't have the time, space, patience, OR skill!  Lol Located in Las Vegas/Henderson off of Sunset and 95. Clean title - 220k miles. 720-987-1993 Matt  text or call 10am to 2am PST. (I'm his GF posting cause i have more free time) will have better photos next time we make the trek to the shop.

    • That is most likely a heater control valve. The random hissing makes sense as the TCU (climate control) is giving this pot random signals to open intermittantly to try an control the inside cabin temp. any vacuum pot that has 1 port can be tested by a mighty-vac vacuum puller tool. This $30 tool has proven itself to be worth its weight in gold to me diagnosing engine faults. Suck a vacuum and watch the gauge. If it doesnt hold a vacuum the pot is bad. My Mazda truck has 9 of these under the hood and 7 were bad when I brought it out of the barn!
    • Hello, I recently acquired a 2007 Lexus ES350 in great condition, 55k miles. I love the interior but I wanted to personalize the car with a front lip, and suit it to my tastes but aftermarket parts are pretty much nonexistant for the ES (which makes sense, its not a sporty car though I'd still like to make it mine and personalize it since this baby is gonna last me a while). Since the GS350 and ES350 have similar body dimensions, would a 2008 Lexus GS350 front lip kit be able to fit on an ES350? I noticed that the 2008 model of the GS is similarly curved beneath the headlights like the 2007 ES, instead of the 2007 GS. Thanks in advance!
