The RX330 is a very nice car ... if not for the transmission hesitation (which may be alleviated with the new TSB applied ... I'll know soon) I wouldn't have much of a beef about this car at all. That being said it is a definite concern and annoyance at times. More annoying than dangerous I'd say.

I have a black 330 and love the color, especially with the chromed 18" rims ... black always looks best to me, but of course there's a price to pay when it comes to keeping it clean. I think the darker colors make it look more sporty, rather than soccer-momish. My fave colors on the 330 1. Onyx Black 2. Flint Mica 3. Millenium Silver

So do you have a TSB number or not? I had mine re-flashed and it was good for about 500 miles or so then worse than ever.

Thanks for the info ... my sevice guy didn't even know about the first TSB (unless it was just for 04s and was applied to 05s prior to production) ... I had mine "re-flashed" but that was all.

I've got it ... getting more and more irritating. I had the computer "re-flashed" and it was MUCH better, but reappeared after a while. I really wish it didn't happen b/c I really like the car a lot otherwise, but must admit it's extremely irritating if not dangerous. Supposedly there's a fix on the way.

Felt a hesitation today like I'd never felt ... a big pause and then I let off the gas right when it was downshifting and it really made a strange feel.

Yes, it has ... it's not as bad as it was, but is back for sure. Some days are worse than others it seems too or maybe my mood makes me more sensitive to it.

The hesitation seems to set in over time as well. I had my computer "re-flashed" and the hestitation was better, but consistently became a little worse as I put more and more miles on it after the "re-flashing".

Take it to another place and tell them what you want done and you'll save hundreds of dollars every time.

The 05 is the next generation Nav and has over 5,000,000 points of interest ... it's different from the 04's Nav.

So I take it that you did not have to demonstrate the problem to the dealer before they fixed it? ← No, I didn't .... they seemed to know exactly what I was talking about when I described it.

I had the same problem, but only on cold days it seemed. They made it sound like they knew exactly what it was and said they insulated around the vents and I haven't had a problem since.

Still noticing a smoother shift and shifting points ... we'll see if it lasts.

I don't think it's bad at all, but many seem to. Did you have the TSB done that supposedly fixes the windows seals that some feel are causing the wind noise problem?

Back from having the computer "re-flashed" and can tell some difference already, but I think it's just b/c it's just like starting all over learning my driving habits. It's not a HUGE difference, but it feels more smooth and there's acceleration out of turns. Hopefully it stays this way. I'm trying to drive like I normally would so it learns my habits properly. I would assume I drive it differently now than I did right after I purchased it and maybe that's part of the problem?

The dealership here seems to have them coming in quite often ... some of them sit on the lot for a week or so, but you never know the reason for that. Just saying there have been more coming through than I thought there might be.

There are certain types of CDs that I've burned that show the song title and artist.

OK, just called and made an appointment for Monday to have the computer "re-flashed" as the service guy put it. He said he personally hadn't heard of anything else that was coming down the road as far as fixes, but didn't exactly sound in the know. Basically it just resets the computer to re-learn your driving patterns I believe. We'll see ... I figured it couldn't hurt to have it done. I asked him if it had seemed to have worked for most people and he said he hadn't heard anything else from anyone, so it must've.

I'm calling tomorrow to see what they've heard ... might just be the re-setting the computer fix we've heard of before, but maybe they'll know something about the new fix coming.

The 3.5 L will become the engine SOMETIME in 2006 ... might be a mid-year change ... and we will have the RX 350.

I know one came in here in the first shipment ... one with RSES that is.

We gotta think they'll finally offer it in the '06 model of the 330 won't they? And then maybe that production run of the 400s too?
