  1. 2003, It was a very hot day here and I went out with dental floss. Once you get one corner going it is quite easy. You may have to use a blow dryer to heat the adhesive so it becomes easier to remove. Just a tip, mark the OEM emblem locations with tape so you know exactly where to put the new ones on. After you remove the old emblems, you will neede to use cleaner wax to get the residual adhesive off. Then wax the area before you install the new ones. Let me know if you have any other ?s HTH MAC
  2. Nice Mike, I always like to call pics like this heaven sent. BTW, congrats on the moderator designation. MAC
  3. GSman Here goes. 20x8.5 with a +37 offset for the fronts and 20x10 with a +43 offset for the rear would be perfect, flush, no rubbing, etc. IMO. A good quality wheel will have the different sizes and offsets available for your car. For tires, 245x35x20 front and 275x30x20 rear would work perfect even with a drop. No rubbing etc. The overall diameter will increase an inch so it will throw off the speedometer slightly. The bolt pattern is 5x114.3. You must drop the car! Look into the L-tuned suspension system for the GS. Check at www.l-tuned.com. It'll drop the car 1" all around and in most areas, if it is installed by a dealer, it is does not void the warranty but check with your service rep first. If you want a lower drop try the H&R Sport springs which will lower about 1.3" front and 1.4" rear and please change the struts while your at it. You won't regret doing it all at once. IMO, your best bet would be to go with a coilover suspension system like the Tein, H&R etc. Youll have the beauty of height adjustability, in most cases 1-3" and if you opt for the EDFC with Tein, adjustability of comfort/sport dampening as well. You may have issues with the dealer warranty with the latter options. hth MAC
  4. Finally got around to installing the black pearl emblems. Let me know what you think. Here is a b4 shot. MAC
  5. Slytimus, Check Ltuned. It is a 30 min direct bolt on part and looks and sounds great. It works well with the OEM bumper. There is droning at 2Krpm, but you said you didn't mind the louder exhaust. check it out at www.l-tuned.com HTH MAC
  6. Leets, Its actually 5x114.3mm or 5x4.5" What year is your car? HRE 448R, 19x9 +37, 2" lip 19x10 +37, 3" lip would be perfect on a 1st gen GS. It really depends on your style. Are you looking for 5 spoke? mesh? dish? On the drop, I'd go Tein coilovers. Tein also offers the EDFC for comfort. The beauty is in the adjustability. HTH. MAC
  7. Check out thsi LX on 22" Anteras http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...&threadid=81513 NICE! MAC
  8. Ken try www.tirerack.com It'll let you see what different wheels and sizes look like on your car. otherwise, I'd check: www.hrewheels.com www.iforged.com www.wheelexperts.com www.speedstar.co.jp www.work-wheels.co.jp hth MAC
  9. ROFLMAO - Mike EVERYTHING changes when you get married. Just be careful that she doesn't find out exactly how much 'cause if she does, she'll want the same amount to go SHOPPING MAC
  10. MrSypher, I sold the car last Sept., but the new owner is still running the L-Tuned and he seems to love it. MAC
  11. I had L-Tuned on the GS. One consideration is that the L-tuned seems to drone @ 2k RPM. It didn't bother me because I expected it from an aftermarklet exhaust. Just know that once you change the exhaust, don't expect it to be as quiet as OEM. It seems that some expect the exhaust to be like OEM under normal driving conditions, while "great sounding" @ WOT. 12. Fully loaded (Mark Levinson, NAV, rear entertainment DVD system) your looking at around $50K. MAC

  17. income, Ya, the eibachs & Ltuned don't lower as much as H&R sport springs or any set of coilovers, but still looks good IMO. My first drop was with H&R sport springs. I liked the drop but needed more so I went with H&R coilovers. After each drop I was sure to get a 4 wheel alignment, just so the 19" tires didnt get eaten up too quickly. No camber issues with either just make sure you get an alignment. Did you change the struts as well? Just curious. MAC
  18. Steve, Thanks for the comments. MAC
