  1. I had the same problem. If your steering wheel is turned to full in either direction and locked there by turning the key off it'll prevent the key from turning. Try holding the wheel against the stop and turning the key.
  2. In changing out all the bulbs in my display I blew out the fuel gauge. Anybody know of a reasonable source for one- prefer new :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: :chairshot: ?
  3. F.Y.I. The bulbs (two types) are Toshiba A14 3WX and TSD .74 Only through Toyota or Lexus. I'm told that the 194 get too hot and melt the plastic lenses. I've tried #24 and also #11, both fit but I don't know the wattages
  4. Thanks guys, the #24 bulbs look like the ones That I was shown at the dealer for $9 a pop. Next question is my radio in AM is crap, lots of static and sounds like it's picking up a radar signal because of the timing that never changes with engine speed. Any ideas, can't listen to the Phillies kick !Removed!.
  5. Okay #24 bulbs for the display. Any idea how many to do the whole shebang?
  6. Just as easy as American cars. Has two slide pins, only need to completely remove one, then the caliper tilts for disc removal.
  7. Climate Control screen bleeds and turns black (goes away in high summer temps but comes right back) hatch struts get weak and put lumpin your noggin, headlamp assemblies collect condensation, power windows get slow and in colder weather stop and instrument panel needles get dark spots that come and go. The list goes on and on, read the rest of the board for additional bugs.
  8. Hi, I'm also in Phila. (N.E.) and have a 94 SC400 with 105K but my price is $85K. If you're interested, contact me via this board. Jim
  9. How about posting his info (e-bay user name) so we'll all know who the a--hole is? Contact e-bay and file a complaint. :chairshot:
  10. I've got a few bulbs out in the dash of my 94 SC400. I might as well replace them all while I've gone to the trouble tearing the dash apart. Does anyone know the type bulbs and quantity of each for the entire dash( not including radio or climate control)?
  11. If they are new OEM, don't do anything to them. They don't start to leak for a few years and then it could be from anywhere.
  12. Don't need a cluster just info on replacing bulbs. How much b.s. did you run into removing the cluster? Thanks Jim
  13. I found that the breather ( on the bottom, looks like a little can with slots) allows water vapor to be drawn up into the light where it condenses on the interior of the lens. The drain ,which is obvious, is to high up in the parking lamp area, to do any good. I plugged the breather with plumbers putty and drilled a small hole under the plastic ledge at the 8 o'clock position to allow the lamp area to drain and breathe. Guess what, it works.
  14. Removed assembly from car, immersed in large tub of water (front up) no bubbles, spent over two hours with heat gun and blow dryer to remove ALL water traces and didn't the M___F___er leak again the first time it rained. It's gotta be the bulb gaskets. I'm *BLEEP*ed. :chairshot: :cries:
  15. Anybody have a fix for slow windows and pass. side mirror that won't go up or down? Am looking for REAL manuals also not the CD crap
  16. I don't have a service manual and can't figure out how to replace the bulb that illuminates the fuel gauge. I also noticed that the tach needle has a dark area that comes and goes whenever it feels like it. The usual climate control LCD issue is also aggravating. Any help would be appreciated.
