    If interested, I've decided to sell my 94 SC400, 108k, new trunk lifts, tires and brakes. Dark green& tan int. Needs D/S seat work. Runs very strong & quiet. Everything works well. Body is dingless and no rust. Have spare window mech. for both sides and telephone book size service manuals. Contact zigzag6191@aol.com (Phila.)

    Would anyone know if adding more tension to the retractor is possible. Buying one used could lead to identical problem. Lexus wants a mortgage payment for new one. Possibly a Toyota model might work? I've got a P/S headlamp in good shape, no leaks, very mild cloudiness- no yellow. $75 and a Climate Control-needs LCD, but works fine. $100 O.B.O.

    The front lamps on the lower most part of the bumper cover on pre 1995 cars are cornering lamps, after 1995 they were changed to fog lamps. The wiring plugs are different and the housings don't interchange. Be prepared to splice connectors.

    Mine does the same thing. You need to have the fuel tank sender calibrated. Not very hard but your gas tank has to be empty or very close to that.

    Do youself a favor and pay Lexus the money. If you've never done a major repair such as this, taking an SC dash apart is opening a can of worms that will lead to MAJOR trouble. You could wind up triggering an airbag leading to very serious injury or completely !Removed! up some other system. I have a 94 SC400 and have had the display out to relamp it so I know what you're getting into.

    ← I have a 94 sc400 and recently did a relamp of the cluster. There are about 36 bulbs in all, this includes all the instruments bulbs as well. The bulbs can be replaced with all the same wattage bulbs even though the originals are 1.5---3 watt. Pep boys, Auto Zone blister pack 2bulbs/$1.99. (1.5watt). Zigzag6191@aol.com( I'm also in Phila.)
