  1. That's a VERY nice body kit. Nothing too over the top. PERFECT. If you find out what the name is and where to buy it online, let me know. Thanks
  2. Here is a new picture of the panel cut out. Everything is prepped, and the other piece is cut out...Now it's time to match everything up and weld on Wow thats what it looks like in there, lmao. Why didnt he just cut the quarter panel at the bottom of the A-Pillar and remove the entire quarter. Thats how body shops do it, its gonna be a pain in the neck to smooth out that patch. Good luck to you though! My step father decided to go this route because the panel we have on the other car has some damage down on the bottom. That would just make for more repair/bodywork. My step father and his friend work at ACW Customs in San Antonio,tx. Their Diesel truck WON the Great American Buildoff in Kentucky last year. They have a lot of knowledge and experience with bodywork.

  4. yep, its stainless, go back with stainless tubing or you will rust everything out. I was thinking about running true duals, are there noticeable gains? Was it worth it, in your opinion?
  5. I would agree with www.autotrader.com I would also look on www.craigslist.com Try this one http://fayar.craigslist.org/cto/816225432.html VERY cheap for an SC400, he does mention some cosmetic flaws, but I would check it out. Make the seller send you pictures. :)

  7. Things are actually going quite well, I'm very surprised! All the cuts were very straight and precise..something I wasn't expecting at all. Now we have to lightly grind down the cuts made, and smooth everything out. I will update with some pictures soon. I'm also looking for a front passenger fender. Do you know where I should be looking? *coughtwidebodycough*lol Would you be referring to this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/298b-Full-8...2QQcmdZViewItem It looks a little extreme, and for $699 + the shipping $429.99 + $Pearl PAINT$ = <_<

  9. My step father wants to take a shot at repairing the passenger quarter panel on my 1992 SC400. Are there any tips we/he should be looking for? Has anyone performed this sort of work before? He has little experience with body work, but is a world class welder, handles the torch very well, and has high class tools to cut metal. I already have the parts car with a good quarter panel.
  10. 1968 Volkswagen BUS! The engine blew on the way back from the coast...sold it, and acquired my 1993 SC400
  11. $1240 to fix your SEAT!!! That sounds very rediculous, and like you said...it's for your passengers. With that kind of money you could make your SC one of a kind
  12. I have a guy who wants to come look at it...He says he can perform body work. I will keep you posted
  13. I'm not going to be able to help you on that one HAHA Winter for me (Texas) does not = Winter for you (Toronto)
  14. 1992 SC400 with only 64,000 miles?? With all the wear and tear you described, I would be a little puzzled, unless you know the history of the car...I pretty much have the same car as you except mine is a 1993. I wouldn't go with the lambo doors, but the paint plans sound good.
  15. HAHAHAHA that's classic...Anyways, the lights look good, where did you purchase? how much if you don't mind me asking
  16. That would make 180,197 miles...not bad. You would get ABOUT 643km per tank or 400miles which averages 32.2kmpg, 20mpg respectively if you stay off the gas, consistent highway driving, other beneficial driving practices. The gas tank is 20.6 gallons which almost equals 80 liters. Personally, I can see MY car going way over 338,000Km/210,000miles. Hopefully some of this info helps considering I had to convert everything! haha, americans. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...
  17. There are so many places to have window tint installed here in San Antonio, Tx, It's hard to know who's reputable and will live up to their warranties. I was planning on the same percent tint you're going for.
  18. I have a 1992 SC that I wrecked, and it has the 10" sub as well...
  19. In my opinion, since I have a pearl white SC400, the darker the better. Since the car is white, black tint looks great. Although it's hard to find such a dark tint that isn't illegal... yea i was thinking the same thing, but i dont know if i wanna keep getting pulled over for illegal tint, but i agree it would look nicer with darker tint That would pose a problem. I live in a 1.3 Million+ city, so I'm thinking the cops should have some more serious issues to be looking out for.
  20. I have a 1992 SC, and I have used the radiator out of my 1995 SC parts car. It runs perfect, but I will tell you that the A/C line mounted on the front of the radiator had to be altered. The A/C lines didn't use the same bolt, and my step dad had to cut and weld to fix (very easy job he told me)
  21. How does the Memphis Sub sound? Are you running it off the stock amplifier? I was thinking of getting a Memphis sub from a friend, but I don't want to fork over the cash and then be disappointed.

  23. The stock subwoofer in my 1993 SC400 is 10". I just recently pulled it out and replaced it.
  24. I tried delivering pizza in my 92 SC400, and it was a disaster. My Dad was a mechanic and kept up with my car, so I know there weren't any problems. Short distances eat up the gas tank.
