  1. You can trust whoever you want, all I'm saying is that the oil change interval is made to be short so that you're always on the safe side. If you know the basic car maintenance and can check your car's fluids, you'll realize that at 5k, synthetic oil is still fresh looking. Maintenance from a dealer will help you in the long run when you go to sell your car, but I didn't buy mine - it's a lease. Most people who lease don't give a *BLEEP* about their cars: redline them when they're not broken in, use regular gas, and barely do any service. But I'm not like that, I'm taking care of my car, I just don't feel like getting ripped off by the dealer. No offense to dealer mechanics.
  2. wow thanks for the work :) the car looks really sick with the tints and a lower ride height
  3. lol what's an AMG CSL? AMG is merc. CSL is BMW's M3
  4. is that during normal driving? I've only had it stick when accelerating really fast, it would stay in a low gear for a little bit, then shift up if you don't touch the throttle.
  5. There is a guide on edmunds.com I've never done this(brake job), but I want to try.
  6. I'll try to take a picture of the location. I'm pretty sure it's in the left bottom corner(when facing the front). There should be a big pipe coming from it. You will need to open the box with the filter inside. It usually has clips on it and sometimes requires some things to be disconnected in order to access it. Also you need to take the under-hood cover stuff off.
  7. what does it include? you shouldn't have any problems without it
  8. THe back looks like a messed up version of the current Accord... like a future concept. I don't think the TL should be compared with the IS. The TL is more of an ES competitor.
  9. Don't use fram. The filter should not be a spin-on, it's a mistake. I have an 08 IS250AWD. Check my guide if you wanna know what filter to use. I used a WIX one.
  10. Can you say sleeper? Just debadge and let your hp do the talkin! no cuz people who debadge their cars are more likely to have high performance. it'd be funnier if he puts 250 on it.
  11. hmm cool, it's the same with the BMW badge... how people made a rumor that it's about a propeller in the sky, but it's actually just the colors of Bavaria
  12. Lexi LOL!! I think we actually have a thread that discusses this debate also. Is it Lexuses, Lexi, or what? I'm guessing it should be Lexuses since Lexus is an acronym for Luxury Export United States.... It used to be only for the United States but they sell em in Europe too....so they should change the badge to Lexeu (sounds french)
  13. I used 93 grade gas both times. The car has been in PWR mode. I can see a noticable difference in acceleration. hmm I dunno then
  14. what kind of gas is it(octane)? and you might be experiencing the typical "lexus" hesitation. The pedal is electronically controlled so it has a slower response. Try using the VSC switch and put it into PWR.
  15. Yeah I don't get the question.. Also I find it funny that you dislike Tri-County and I like them on the other hand, cuz they're willing to help me with the brake dust TSB for the IS
  16. Trust me the oil change interval is a myth. You can last much longer than 5k on it. It's synthetic for crying out loud, it's made to last long. All Lexus want from you is money - considering that you come to them to change the oil.
  17. I used Prestige Lexus on Rt.17 I got it all sorted out though by calling up a different dealer. It's in another thread.
  18. why do you have to double space between each sentence... it gets really annoying
  19. It has a nice exhaust sound, I don't like the rims though
