  1. check the oil pan and oil filter. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...mp;#entry329819
  2. One more question, if I choose to go in for the current pads, but let's say in a few months the new ones come out...would I be able to replace em again for no charge?
  3. sounds like it could be engine knocking but I'm not an expert, just assuming.
  4. Great job for a "rookie'!! :D Thanks for the comment, 60+ views last time I checked and no comments lol Perhaps that photo of a man yelling is too scary?? Maybe this would be better for responses............. it's not just some man, it's Zidane <_<
  5. I don't like that color, looks like vomit. I hope they at least made the exhaust tips real this time
  6. thanks for the title change, since my old one could be a little confusing. @smooth1, I left my info for the future pads, he also told me that at any time I can come in and just get the ones that they offer right now with no problems. He mentioned you also(online lexus club gentleman) and said that he is very welcome to help anyone have a more pleasant Lexus experience :)
  7. yeah you gotta open that little cover first and plug in that plastic thing that comes with the filter, and after you drain it, just unscrew the whole casing. In my guide, I forgot about it and opened the whole thing first which kind of made it messy - but it's not that bad.

  9. I just talked to him, seems like a nice guy. He said that he could do it for me but I could have some squeeking noises. And as you said, Lexus are working on the new brake pads for the IS. So I decided to just wait for the new ones instead of the possibility of getting noise issues. Thanks a lot man.
  10. How much does it cost to install those tires on the existing rims? (take off the original ones, put on the ones you bought)
  11. Is it okay though that my car is an '08 IS 250? And what does TAS stand for? Btw, thanks a bunch - I hope it works.
  12. it isn't from hitting curbs ? If so im sure it wont be covered you mean it will be covered? Since anything like that(paint issues) is usually the manufacturer's fault.
  13. Just checked my email. This is what I got. This is a different Lexus dealer. Well, I guess I'm just more influencial ;) . I called the 973 number and spoke with Nancy, and then I spoke with Bobby Giordano the service manager. He "happily" agreed to do the brake dust TSB for your car. Call them and ask for Bobby Giordano directly, and tell him that you are calling for the TSB on the IS 350. Make sure you have the replacement part numbers and the TAS number for them. You can email him also at bgiordano@tricountylexus.com Good luck again. :) Hahahahaha wow man, are you serious?! btw my car is a 250 not a 350, is that a problem? Also, can you give me those numbers? I dunno what TAS means.
  14. Hey rookie... I found this during a Google search. It seems like a pretty thorough chain of command, if you are serious about getting an issue resolved: I would raise my complaint(s) in the following order: Sales/Service Rep Sales/Service Manager General Manager Dealership Owner Lexus USA Regional Rep (they usually visit the dealership once a week or so) the dealer should provide this contact to you. Lexus USA Regional Manager Lexus USA HQ (Torrance CA) 800-255-3987 e-mail link:http://lexus2.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/lexus... So you're suggesting that I start from the lowest and keep harassing them with my complaint? Hahaha thanks man, I'll try something like that.
  15. Just checked my email. This is what I got. This is a different Lexus dealer.
  16. Yeah I dunno. It seems like it's all up to the dealer to decide if they want to replace your front pads and my dealer is just a bunch of a holes. Prestige my !Removed! I found a different dealer which is twice the distance( 10 vs 5 miles). I sent them a message about service so I'm just gonna have to wait and see.
  17. wow you really got lucky, or your dealer is actually nice. I wish there was a way to complain directly to Lexus
  18. cheapest way is to do it yourself bro +1 http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/howto/art...87/article.html
  19. Right front corner of the engine compartment underneath the engine compartment cover. Just follow the intake duct. N.C.O. Yeah that's what my guess was since it should be there, I just didn't want to take off the plastic. Thanks though
  20. Alright, thanks. I just don't know how I can get them to do it.
  21. After reading that a few times I realized how obvious the answer is... Bartkat is right.... it thinks that something is wrong with the catalyst converter but you actually removed it... so that's it. Btw, how did Lexus not void your warranty?
  22. It probably needs that special AC gas... freon. I dunno though seems to be too early to have A/C problems.
