  1. My rear view mirror only vibrates when I have the bass up, but I think that's normal. One thing that annoys me is the second wipe of the windshield wipers after you spray the washer fluid. And also how badly timed the wipers are, they come on before the fluid, basically wiping a dry windshield. So to go around it, I pull the stalk halfway which makes the fluid squirt but doesn't turn on the wipers and then I pull it all the way... but there is still that automatic second wipe that comes on about 3 seconds afterwards and just *BLEEP*s everything up.... anyway this is really minor lol
  2. Also, I think there is no Snow Mode button next to the Shifter if it's FWD...not sure though.
  3. If you can afford having different tires then go with RWD, otherwise go with AWD
  4. Well my car is an '08...so I'm sure it doesn't have any issues, but I might call them to just double check.
  5. I signed up for the Owner's section on the Lexus website just to see if anything was needed. It said that there are no recalls for my car. Seems like they fixed everything up for '08...right before the facelift.
  6. here you go http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...)&minLoad=S they are regular tires - non directional
  7. My oil level was overfilled by a little bit from the factory. My guess is they did it in case some oil burns off in the break-in. You can see it in my DIY tutorial. My best suggestion is to do it yourself. Also, if you buy 5 quart jugs from Walmart the oil comes out a lot cheaper. I bought Mobil 1 Synthetic for like 26 bucks.($5/quart)
  8. I bought it from an auto-parts store, they looked it up through their computer and sold it to me...I later realized that they just go on the WIX website and see what it says. I did that and noticed that WIX offers two filters for the IS, one for IS250 and one for the AWD version. It makes little sense to me since the engine is exactly the same. Before I did the oil change, I wanted to make sure I had the right filter so that I wouldn't be screwed to find out that it's the wrong one. So I bought one from Lexus, and realized that they're completely different in size. I don't know if you can interchange them but I didn't, I just used the OEM filter and saved the WIX one for the RX350 that we have. Also, when I'm gonna need another filter, I'll try to find out if the other one WIX offer is the same as the OEM one. If you look on their site it's #57173. From the picture, it looks the same as OEM, in terms of size.
  9. No it's just an IS250 with all of the extra F-Sport Add-ons
  10. Here is an excellent DIY guide for the front brake pads on the 350. Can't help you with the rotors though. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/suspension...ng-caliper.html
  11. Yup those are nice. A lot of people mod their cars and go really cheap(try to save) on the tires.
  12. They limit it because certain components could break. So if you want to go faster you would need to upgrade. Such as tires, etc.
  13. Surely you don't expect Lexus to warranty your work. You're right, but I still would just install them myself. I don't think it's worth paying triple the price. EDIT: Question - Would the Eibach Pro-Kit fit on my car? I heard that 250 and 250AWD have different rear suspension.
  14. Just read some disclaimer on their F-Sport website... if you install it yourself, you could still void the warrenty if something breaks. So it's basicly made to rip people off. And you're saying it's around 900 if the dealer installs it? I would still install them myself, there is a nice guide by Smooth1
  15. I was very interested by the F-Sport Lowering Springs for the IS250AWD (apparently AWD and the regular IS250 have different suspension). On the Lexus website they're listed at $300. Even though they're more expensive than say H&R($220), they don't void the warrenty which is nice. But by how much do they actually lower the car? The Lexus website says 1" all around, but it's not always accurate. Does anyone have any pictures of stock vs lowered IS250? One more thing, do aftermarket springs void the car's warrenty? I heard the only way around it is to switch back to stock before doing any warrenty work.
  16. well --- surprise! I just saw in the Manual for the RX350 that, below the steering column (and above your legs) there are three buttons. The left one is - if have the option - a height control switch, the middle one is the tire pressure warning reset switch - and the right one is the VSC 'off' switch. Maybe your IS also has a hidden Tire pressure warning reset button??? I only needed this info for the RX350. Thanks a lot, I'll try that.
  17. He did the step by step. See click link under the banner in his signature? Yeah but he needs the RX350..I'll try to do that, it's kind of cold right now..
  18. the pics are enourmous... car looks good though
  19. You should always have the same tires. Since the treads could be different. You don't wanna have different tires on your car. So yes, just go with the useless and overpriced Potenzas for now, unless you wanna replace all 4 with something better and sell the 3 you have left.
  20. Checked all tires. The 4 that are on the car are at 34psi. The spare is at 33psi. So there must be something with the TPMS...could it be a fuse? Well actually that won't make sense since it just wouldn't show up. p.s.: Everytime I click Fast Reply I can't start typing right away. The window becomes like a link for some ad, and then I have to come back to the forum.
  21. Who still uses tapes? It's only useful for the Ipod/Iphone cassette adapter.
