  1. The third (center) brake light housing just snaps into place with two friction clips. So, to remove it just pull the whole housing forward, away from the rear window. You'll probably need a tool (something with a hook on it - some have recommended a paint can lid opener) to slip under the housing and then pull on it, first on one side and then the other. It should come loose without too much difficulty.

  4. I am just getting into the lexus club, I have a 93 ES300, the Kickdown cable is broken, from what I see all I need to do to replace it is dromp the pan, remove the nuetral switch, and disconnect the cable from the Throttole valve cam. According to my manual it looks like the same end that is on a Motorcycle cable.....is there anything else I need to do to replace the cable. Thanks. Capnfred
  5. I too am having a problem, mine is the cable got snarled up and broke the white plastic guides, I was able to epoxy the guides, but the cable being twisted is a bit too short to get back on the rollers for the regulator, the rest of the stuff is fine...... any advice. someone suggested having a cable made by a bike shop.... hmmmmm wonder if that will work... any advice is appreciated, btw the part number for the regulator sans motor is 69802-32070.... have not checked the dealer yet. thanks capn
  6. I picked up a 93, white and silver with 179k on the clcok, the owner thought the tranny was gone, turned out some idiot had worked on it and left lots of loose hardware... still putting it all together,,, had to replace the left axle shaft and the kickdown cable. will let you know the total cost. $1200.00 for the car, 90 for towing, 60 for the shaft, 50 for the hood lifts, and not sure about the kickdown cable... looks like its goana be a fun job.... found one on the net for 51.00 plus shipping. If anyone has any advice for a newbie on parts let me know please. Also when rooting around in the interior I found an "Autopage" alarm box.. so I don't know what thats goana take to get working, again any advice is appreciated. Capn
