  1. If there is a physical key in your key fob and a key opening in the back, perhaps you can get the trunk open that way.
  2. Until others reply, I'd like to ask if there were other 2021 RX350s on the lot that you could've driven to compare. Another option would be to take it to a different dealership.
  3. That highlander's tire diameter is about 2 inches taller, meaning your speedometer and odometer may not be accurate. In addition, steering response would be slower and sloppier.
  4. I have seen some incidences in which the DVD unit's "lens" was not able to read the disc. Some owners have removed and cleaned the assembly but with no luck. They then replaced the unit with a new or used one to solve the problem. Hopefully someone on this forum has had a similar issue and will reply. Ours is still working perfectly but outside temps rarely dip below 38 degrees F. Our garage stays above 55 or so.
  5. Was your car on a slippery surface at the time?
  6. Did it happen last year during the Winter or is this the first Winter during which you have experienced this problem?
  7. Have you reviewed your owner's manual to see if the delay is mentioned in any of the affected areas? Does the delay time change when the ambient temperature is warmer or if you traveled somewhere, shut down and left your car for a while, and then tried the same sequence immediately after starting the car?
  8. I would call the dealership to find out if there is a software update for your VIN. Then again, the ambient temperature may be below what the electronics are capable of withstanding. How cold was it when this happened?
  9. It could be that the engine coolant needs to reach a certain temperature, so if ambient temp is very cold, there would be a corresponding delay after starting the engine.
  10. Great to see! 👍
  11. Has the battery been disconnected or recharged? If so, you may have to do the following: Turn the ignition on and at each individual window control, roll them down half way and then all the way up and hold the button up for 3 seconds, until the light stops flashing. This will reset the windows and they then should work from the master switch on the driver's door. The lights on each switch should no longer blink. You can find more information in the Owners Manual in the section for "battery disconnected / Loss of Battery".
  12. How did the dealership tech check it? Did they verify that a connector is not loose? You might want to give them a call and ask. If it is bad, I'd recommend calling crutchfield (www.crutchfield.com) to see what good replacement receiver costs. They do supply excellent installation procedures.
  13. It looks like it's fuse 52 in the driver's side (See below) fuse box. Lexus RX 330 (XU30) (2004-2006) Fuse Diagram • FuseCheck.com According to a quick internet search: "I believe the fuse box is in the car on the passenger side under the glove box by your feet. Lay on your back and you will be able to see it. It is about 3" X 2", white with all the fuse info on the cover." If you've never checked a fuse before you may want to have someone pull and test it.
  14. There are some out there. I quickly searched and found a few. Here's one of those: Cross Bars For 2016-2020 Lexus RX350 RX450H top Roof Rack rail Aluminum carrier | eBay
  15. This can happen of either there is an obstruction in between the door and the interior or the gaskets are sticky for some reason. I've lubricated our RX door seals with ArmorAll and this does help. A 7 year-old vehicle should not need a hatch motor unless you are opening and closing it automatically 6 times a day.
  16. Suspension Products for 2000 Lexus LS400 (tirerack.com) I like both Bilstein and KYB. The KYBs are almost half the cost of the Bilsteins so I guess it depends upon how long you plan to keep your car and how many miles you put on it, annually. I've had Bilsteins on a 1968 Corvette and KYBs on a 1989 Mazda MX6 GT, many years ago. I never had issues with either set over 8-10 years of 5000 miles per year.
  17. I would have to wonder why the owner had the engine and battery replaced at 127K miles on the car. Also, it looks like he did not have the dealership do this work. If he didn't, it's no wonder there are so many issues. I agree with Mike - stay away from this one.
  18. If you take a camera and compare images during the day and night, you'll see how different objects look when ambient light is limited. Basically, we have miniature cameras in the back of our vehicles. I believe the only way to improve the image is to have much brighter lights illuminating the objects.
  19. What is P0778 LEXUS code meaning? The Pressure Control (PC) Solenoid Valve an electronic pressure regulator that controls transmission line pressure based on current flow through its coil windings. As current flow is increased, the magnetic field produced by the coil moves the solenoid’s plunger further away from the exhaust port.
  20. That's great to see, and yet just as I expected. Ours is half your odometer reading and the only issues it has had was 1. One or two of the triangular (side) window frame covers. They fell off but the windows are still perfectly sealed. I couldn't buy the frames by themselves (without the windows) so I left them as-is. 2. The valve cover gaskets needed to be replaced. For a 17 year-old vehicle, this has been amazingly reliable.
  21. I would call that "electro-mechanical" because electricity is required. 😏
  22. I agree. 15 years is plenty of time to improve things. You may consider calling Crutchfield. Sometimes a conversation can reveal more in 5 minutes than 15 minutes of searching a website.
  23. Have you looked at www.crutchfield.com? Crutchfield: Car Stereo and Audio, Speakers, Home Theater, Pro Audio, TVs
