ive got a 92 SC4 with the Nak system, i am getting tired of the CD changer not being able to read my burned cd's worth a damn. the skipping has finaly sent me over the edge so i was wondering if there is a way to replace just the cd changer without having to replace everything. i know it all has special plug and all that fun stuff, so is there a way and if so how? thanks

thanks i just wanted to make sure i am a college student that just got this 92 sc400 to replace a loved but unreadable 89 nissan 240sx so when the light came on i was hoping that it didnt mean anything serious.

my track warning light comes on and stays on. ive tired pulling the fuse to no avail, and dont have the time or money to do much else. i was wondering what if anything will happen if i just ignore the light for a while. i have not noticed any difference when the light is on or not, im hoping that it wont result in anything major but i simply dont know that is what im here for. any info i can get will be greatly appreciated thank you

the fastest i have driven was 145 in my dads 97 BMW 740 iL with him in the passenger seat chuckling my mom and sister in the back asleep and a trunk load of luggage on a drive form dallas, tx to sioux falls, sd fastest ive ridden in was 165 in my cousins modified eagle talon i think i was a 93 ive only had my sc400 for a couple weeks but i had it up to 110 with plenty of power left but there was more traffic around then i was comfortable with.

i would say you did pretty damn well i just got a 92 sc400 with 102000 miles on it for 7500 and its in awesome condition hardly even any ware on the leather and was was surprising was that it had all 3 original sets of keys the 2 masters and the spare. to those of you sad about them becoming cheap im sorry, but i love to be able to afford a gorgeous powerful car that has the heritage of a lexus. as a college student the reliability of these cars is a huge bonus, and it also has the power to have fun and the looks to catch more then just a couple glances.

removing the fuse worked for about a day and a half but to my dismay the light did return. i was reading through another thread where a gentlemen said that he bleed all the lines and it worked for him i guess when i get some time i will give that a shot. im a broke college kid that can not afford the $800 or so to replace the actuator. does anyone know what potential problems it could cause to ignore this light? so far i havent noticed any difference at all and if all it is is the traction control system i wont worry about it all that much, im use to a car that wants to slide on you and im pretty good at keeping it under control. ( my previous car was a 89 nissan 240sx)

i tried the memorex cd-r and they work considerably better although they still skip it is not nearly as often and more bearable

yea ill try resetting the computer and see if that stops it from comming on i was just wondering if there was reason it would come on be it mechanical or a fluid thing

i have run a cleaning cd a few times with no result. as far as the antenna the mast is intact i can fully extend it by hand but i havent listened for the motor to see if it is out, i need to do that and pull out the trunk lining to check the connection

sometimes the TRAC warning light comes on and stays on and i am trying to figure out what this means. the part that really confuses me is that if i have to pull out onto a street and accelerate heavily it wont come on but if i just drive around leisurely it will. all the owners manual says is to take it to a dealership but im hoping someone out there knows what the light means so i can hopefuly fix it myself thank you for your help

i have recently acquired a 92 sc400 with the nacamichi stereo and i love the car, only issues are that the antenna does not go up or down, the cd changer skips (so far have only used burned cd's i dont know if it will skip for real cd's), and the rear speakers were blown (which i replaced with infinity 6.5's) i cant find anything about the stereo so any information will help, but the main thing im trying to find out is, is it my cd changer or all the old ones that just cant seem to play burned cd's well and what if any other models and years can i just replace mine with without having to modify anything? once again any info would be greatly appreciated thank you
