  1. yea my dad's BMW had the check engine light on, however the check engine light is kinda a catch all light so that isnt exactly a smoking gun.
  2. i am by no means an expert, but from what you describe, this problem sounds alot like what my father experienced on a 7 series BMW a few years back. he replaced the cats, and all the problems were fixed. I can not say for sure that this is your problem, however like i said it sounds like the same problem my father had and the cats were the cause. maybe if you hear this a few times you might wana take it into consideration, but dont go droping the money on new cats just because of what i say. good luck
  3. no he just tells you what he changes it to, he never mentions what it was.

  21. i have no clue what is causing the problem, but if you pull forward on the rear lining of the trunk it will pop out and expose the fuel tank, i believe there is a place to access it from in there, you can try pouring gas straiging into the tank from there, if it works its a neck problem, if it doesnt its probalbly a line problem.
  22. yea it is possible it was all caused by the battery being dead, when my battery went bad about a month ago everytime i turned on my turn signal my stereo shut off and my clock reset, once replacing the battery everything was fixed.
  23. hey guys, im looking at putting in a new TC and im trying to figure out what stall speed would b best for faster take off, but also doesnt compermise normal city driving comfort. Does anyone know what the stall speed is on the OEM TC on my 92 SC4 is so i have a baseline? Also does anyone have any recommendations as to what the best stall speed would be? Thanks
  24. thanks flashjet, its good to be able to get first hand reliable feed back on this stuff, i never trust a company website. If you dont mind how is the slow speed acceleration? is there much of a lag to get up the rpms before movement, or is this just another myth? nightrunner12 im sorry for hijacking your thread, but i figure this might be info you would like too.
  25. hey flashjet with normal driving how was your MPG effected with the higher stall rate on the TC? I have heard everything from, no effect, to better, to worse. what was your experiance? Im sure with that much extra power to the rear wheels "normal" driving is rare but im intrested in putting in a new TC myself but MPG is a big deal for me since im a broke college kid.
