  1. Ok....Here we go. I'm driving home the other night and I thought I heard a dog bark.....Yes a dog bark. I was tired so I disregarded it. Today I heard it again, I know I am not imagining it. It sounds exactly like a medium to high pitch dog bark. It only did it once on on both occasions. I thought to myself, I have not checked the trunk since I bought this thing so I pulled over, nothing was in there....? Was hoping maybe a little friend was in there for me but nope. Anyway, The car is riding great, very smooth and quiet, No problems other than my previous posts. Just that this is weird and I find myself nervous as to when I will hear it again. It's not the rear wheels locking up, I checked the road where I heard it and no tire marks...... What the hell?? Sincerely, Peter
  2. LOL thanks. I did pull the ruber and spray. Worked great thanks!
  3. Yes sir. Will do, Right now actually.... ^_^ BTW, Is there anyway to change my name? I don't know what I was thinking letting my little brother choose for me.
  4. Hello again guys. Ok, Just noticed something. My dome light seems to be operating strangely. If I select on it always works. However, when set to door mode, It only works sometimes. This is also in coordination with the door ajar light in the cluster, They only seem to work about half of the time. ....Seems as if they are more likely to work after I close the hood....? Sincerely, Pete
  5. Ill check that out immediately. I plan on doing some work tomorrow. I have verified a slight leak from the diff as well. (2-3 drips a night, on and off) so I'm going to look into this as well. Thanks for the help Pete
  6. Probably a stupid question.... I've got my eye on a nice 1991 steering wheel for $150. Will it fit the 92'? Are the first gen steering wheels pretty much interchangeable between each other? Any problems? Cruise lever? Airbag? Thanks again, Peter Also, I searched for a diff fluid change tutorial but the only link I found was broken, Anyone know of one?
  7. I have a nakamichi cd headunit with cd changer and wiring harness 100% plug and play ready for install $450.00 shipped. If your interested reply. Ok, thanks. Right now $450 has higher priority's (dent removal, steering wheel, fluid changes etc..) thought it would be a bit cheaper but, gimmie a few weeks. Ill put it on the list. Definitely a must. To what degree of P+P are we talking anyway? How is the changer installed? Pete
  8. very good, Will try that. Probaly wait until I get a wheel. First. Thanks, pete
  9. The car pulls slightly to the left when I let it go. All other aspects feel normal. Its such a small pull I didn't give it much thought. I have read that with this generation LS the rack and pinion housing may shift slightly causing this effect. I figured there would be other symptoms associated with such a contingency, not just an out of center wheel. I guess I'll have to look into it more. Thanks, peter
  10. Hello again, I figured I'd post this one while I remember it. My steering wheel is slightly off center when driving straight. I have read about a shifted R+P housing as the origin of this problem. Is there a quick fix? Perhaps a tutorial on a readjustment? The steering feels great, No vibrations and the speed sensitivity seems right on. It's just the wheel is a bit out and it is bothering me :( Is this something that I can/should solve when I install my new steering wheel? Is this issue in anyway associated with an alignment? I would think not... Thanks again, Pete
  11. Oh, sorry. It's the LS. Also, I dont see a CD button on the unit. I'll check around on EBAY a bit. 550 miles on her, So far so good! Pete
  12. Hey guys, I was wondering if there is any relatively painless way to hook up a CD player or changer to the factory interface. I want the car completely stock so an after market deck isn't going to cut it, Just wanted to see what you guys think. Or maybe I can break out the old tape collection Thanks , Peter
  13. Thanks buddy. Yes actually the T belt was done at 90k I have the records. Before I really get into the car I would like to have the front and rear pass doors worked on. The paint is just about perfect but there are a few dings in them, I cant stand dings :o I was planning on doing all mechanical work on this car myself, Other than the T-Belt and water pump. Thanks, Pete
  14. Just what I wanted to hear :D Pete
  15. I get the same regardless of a/c status. Made a discovery today though. The noise is coming from the area beneath the glovebox. If I get in there and apply pressure to this area it changes the noise a bit, Almost sounds like something is in there disrupting the air flow, On low it ticks and med/high there is enough pressure to cause a vibration. Hmmm but selecting the dash vents only should stop the noise, Which it does not......? Pete
  16. Anyone have any good recommendations for removal of dings, Ive never been to a dent wizard before, None of the paints is cracked or chiped, Just these annoying little dings, Thanks Pete
  17. Here are some pics. So far Ive put 300 miles on it (trip back from NY) Im at 114,200 right now and I really love this car. Seems to get smoother everyday! It did sit for a short while prior to my purchase. Oh, You can see that rusty headlight issue (driver side) I was talking about earlier. Anyone know where to get a yellow H3 55 fog light replacement bulb? Everywhere I have been only has white. Pete
  18. Thanks for the info bud, But I mean it is loud! As in you can feel the vibs in your seat. No way it shipped from the factory like this. So Ive been running it on low and med, just so I can speak to anyone els in the vehicle in a normal tone. I wonder whats causing it, I checked for debris today, I didnt see anything, Need to find out how to get into that system. Pete
  19. Nice! Is there a specific name for that color? Or is it just brown? Im sure mine is the same. What is it with that tach needle? Mine looks that same, Half lit. If you lower the intensity of the cluster lighting it starts to flicker, But it never lights up completely. All my other lighting is perfect including the HVAC and radio panel, Just that needle. Is it worth trying to fix?
  20. Something I completely forgot about so far to ask. When the HVAC blower is engaged on high it is quite loud, accompanied by a vibration, same with the medium setting only not as extreme. The low setting is silent except for an occasional ticking when the car is cold. Anyone know what this could be? Pete
  21. Hey buddy, Nice wheel. Is that from a 95-97? Do you know which wheels will fit the 92 LS? Also it's knid of an interesting color scheme. Blk/tan but the wheel dash and other trim is in brown, Anyone heard of this? I guess I need a brown wheel. Oh the Pontiac thing. I know they are different class vehicles, Just comparing the age with how solid both feel. The lexus drove like a bullet seemed to detach you from the road much more, Alot more floaty than my old 95 ES.
  22. Aww Darn, I missed the Ebay listing, thanks anyway! I look around, I dont think that they're comin' apart as easily as I would like them to, For the effort I am willing to put in to something that trivial. Thanks again. Pete
  23. Just a quickie here. Seems something behind the lens in the headlamp rusted up and gave a nice brown tint to the whole headlight. Is there any easy way to separate the lens from the backing to get in there and see whats going on? Thanks, Pete
