Thanks for the info. I bought the class 1, 2 day shipping, hopefully it will be here for Fr-Sat. Ont the DIY lexus site, He take the lighting right from the tail lights, That was hes recommendation anyway, Ill try it. My bumper is in Grate/excellent shape, Which is good. No bike rack here. Im pulling a carry on 5'x8' cargo trailer with an empty weight of 960 lbs. I haul RC jets around New england, Next trip is to gardner mass about 90 miles or so. Loaded up the load won't exced 1100 lbs. 900 under the rated capacity, Im sure she can handle it.. Pete

Guys sorry if this one has been done already but Ive done a little research and see 2 different types of hitches for the 90-94 LS. One is approximately the width of the vehicle and appears to mount on both sides near the left and right wheel wells. This is the one I DONT want. The other is a center mount that bolts in underneath the center trim, the lexus DIY site used this one, I think He had a Da'lan. What is the price range Im looking at for this? Is there any info you guys could help me out with on this? I need to get this thing mounted before saturday mourning. Thanks in advance, Pete

Im wondering if anyone has done anything to a 1992 regarding the rear seat, There sure woulod be alot of room if it would fold down. Has anyone played around with this? I took a breif look around and came to the conclusion that it does NOT fold. What do you think would be involved in making a modification? Thanks! Pete

Ok, I first posted about my starter intermittently cranking slowly 1 year ago. However, It has always started and run just fine. Today I noticed 2 things. When my starter IS cranking slowly (seems to happen in rounds of 5 or 6 starts, Then a couple normally cranks, then 5 or 6 slow cranks etc..) cassette tape will not play correctly (very high noise to sound ratio) and the fuel door will not pop via the button. When I get a normal crank tapes play fine and the fuel door operates normally via the button. I will try to see if I can discover any other relationships between the starter cranking slowly and other operations. Although, My 92' with almost 140k doesn't act up at all, aside from the aforementioned phenomenon. Thanks! Pete

Yeah I did the alternator, I should have mentioned that. It's about 6 months old. Before I changed it I had my battery checked out and I'ts good. Whats up with those fusable links? Which one would most likely be the culprit, Assuming that's what it is? Thanks! Pete

Hey guys, It's been a while since Ive posted but my 92 is still running great, I bought it last january and have put 20k on her so far. I posted about what I thought was a dying starter back in august. Alot of people here gave me a couple weeks to a month based on the symptoms I described, Intermittent slow cranks and a whirring sound for about a second after the engine fires up. Anyway 8 months later its still doing it but starts every try, first try. I really love this car. Pete

Hey guys. I left work last night to find out someone took a big bite out of my rear passemger door. They got me good. Luckily the majority of the damage was contained on just that door. What do you think is my best bet? My deductible is too high to go thru insurance. I'm thinking just grab a new door at the scrap yard? What do you guys think? The damage did not affect the operation of the door in any way except aesthetically. Pete

That is EXACTLY what happened to me, I'ts the alternator. Throw in a new one and put those lights out. Pete

Hey guys, My 92 was only equipped with a tape deck, I was doing fine listening to the radio but after a while it occurred to me that I know the majority of Lil Waynes songs, At that point I knew I had to take action. So I recently (yesterday) setup my IPOD (via tape) in my car....Nice!! Sound quality was decent to. On my way home from dunkin donuts a few minutes ago I noticed there was no sound from my left side, Turn the balance pot all the way left, treble disappears and it's snap crackle pop. Both front and rear left side doors are gone, Nothing from the drivers tweeter. Awesome! My Woofer has been acting up since day 1 but I could live with that, Unfortunately this situation is unacceptable. So, I know the doors are 4" and I believe 4 ohms? Im just a bit curious as to the best way to go about this, I have the pioneer system and was just thinking about swapping out my door speakers with something after market. Of course Im sure there are many other options of which I am not aware.. BTW, I am not an audio guy by any means so I could definitely use a little help Thanks, Pete

Hey guys, last month I posted that my starter was cranking slower and slower, Progressively. For the last couple of weeks I've been getting mostly normal starts out of it (that is cranking the engine at its normal speed). The majority of starts now are normal, With only a slow cranking start every once in a while. As compared to before, They were mostly all slow cranks? Any ideas? Thanks, Pete

Thanks guys, Threw it in and all the lights went out. Everything seems good. Still cranking a bit inconsistently but I'm gonna wait on the starter, I have a good feeling. What a pain pushing the new one up into place! My arms were pooped! Oh well. Thanks again, Pete

Ok, Thanks for all the help guys. I found a remanufactured Denzo at a local shop for $199. I have a feeling this isn't the best price, Unfortunately I don't have time to shop. Thanks again, Peter Oh, BTW. I can't seem to find a tutorial on the job. The lexus DIY site I usually use (forgot the name of it) dosen't have one. I guess it's a pretty straightforward job? Any links to a good tutorial or something.

Ok, Battery checks out. Took a full charge and tested under starting load ok. Threw it back in and she cranked up. Not the normal crank, Still a bit slow. The dummy lights are still on however?? Add oil, Add coolant, Antilock, P Brake and Batt. Guess Ill have to run it to work tommorrow and see what happens. If the batterys fresh, Wouldn't the dummy lights go out? The trunk wiring harness? The battery's being checked now. If it does turn out to be the alternator, Do I have to go OEM? Pete
