    dunno about over by you guys - but over here that his a huge job, costing in excess of £1,000 (>$1500). its a whole new dashboard basically.

    hmmm I do not have a problem with you guys posting links to ebay auctions, as long as you stay within the forum rules. So - for example, no commercial advertising (eg - no linking to your own auction, selling non Lexus related goods) Links should also be broadly "on topic" - ie of some relevance to Lexus owners who has a problem with posting ebay links and why?

Our main man for SC's (AWJ) will be around shortly - what this guy doesn't know about the SC isn't worth knowing! :D Must confess to being jealous - the more I see and hear about the SC - the more I want one!

    Hmmm just been browsing CL - as I do every now and then - I am a Lexus owner myself. They seen to have a new look and color scheme, which I think I have seen somewhere before - just can't put my finger on it. And a new tag line - apparently they are now The Lexus Owners Club! strange! :D B)

    This site is hosted on one of the best hosts around. The server is currently supporting over 2 million hits a month - and you couldn't tell from the performance could you? And the new server will be even better ;) So - you'll have no worries on that score. :D B)

    Nabeel I have no hard evidence - only my "gut feel", but I think that there may be a problem in old threads that are quite large, and that the problem exists due to a conversion problem from the previous forum software. As we will have more and more new threads, all created in the new software - this shoul not be a problem. PM me if you see differently though - and I'll look into it ;)

    Looked at Mercs before getting the Lex Rex. Didn't impress me much at all. Unless you are spending serious money - the cars are not that great, and (in the UK anyway) the dealers don't want to know you. Don't get me wrong - wouldn't turn my nose up @ a SLK Kompressor - or even better the AMG 55 - but they are serious money.

    Hey Import_Boy nice to see you round the forums buddy - hope you are enjoying them. The inline pictures have probably been dropped when the forums where converted - so I'll delete those posts (sorry MrSypher) The other posts that say "Download attachment" work fine - just click on the link and it will load the picture in the a new browser window

    Hi Tony welcome to the club! I had to make a cuple of little edits to remove references that could be seen as advertising (we like to keep the forums prett much ad free! :D ) - but other than that - great post! Have to agree with zeta - in that kameleon paint jobs are not my thing :D But you have clearly put a lot of effort and love into the car - and it shows! Will have to let us see some more pictures mate - preferably withsome big chrome rims B) B)

    its really quite interesting though isn't it? what gets me is that some people must fall for it - why else would this scam be so common?

    Very true AJ - thanks for sharing that warning with everyone. You may find this link interesting Someone "went along" with the scam, and strung the scammer along. Interesting, as it shows you how the they try to work it.
