  1. Ask yourself, would I rather have a Toyota or a Volkswagen? Gee, I would say Toyota any day! :P :D
  2. Thanks Mike for the tip! They worked awesome! No vibration anymore, just smooth rolling! :D :P
  3. easy! Take the 3 screws out on the bottom! Pry out the top AC vent ! 2 more screws there! pull radio out ! Make sure you have the code! Disconnect harnesses! Your done! drink beer or soda!
  4. Probably normal! You can try resetting the ecu for your driving habits ! Do a search and find out how!
  5. :D This is the best price I could find!injen intake! I did notice an improvement, can't say how much and I also have a Tannabe cat back exhaust!
  6. Mine is just in front of the joystick! I don't see anything on yours! Does the joystick push in are there any other small switches on thye column! I gues someone could have taken it out, but why? :o
  7. :o Oh YEAH!!! You wanna make a bet on that?
  8. I never contacted Injen ,as itt was something easy for me to fix. The stainless pipe is less restrictive then the factory one, looks real nice, could be cooler, sound real kewl! It comes with a new hose for the power steering sensor. You use your old pvc hose. It has an adapter that bolts to the stock AFM. It also comes with an heat shield that looks really nice but I didn't feel I needed it and it looked restrictive! I will try to get some pics up soon! It is polished with red decals. :P :D
  9. :D Hey Mike, Check you warranty book or call the dealer and see if it's covered! It could be considerd abuse if you listen to music loud with lots bass and up all the way. It's really a judgement matter and what your warranty will cover! Thanks
  10. If it's under warranty, take it to lexus! If not, you can try an cleanig disc. It is far better to clean it by hand, but it will require someone with some electronics skills. Adjusting or aligning the laser assembly will require an oscilloscope, take it to an experienced electronics repair shop, not Best Buy. Lookin the yellow pages under car audio repair and go with your best judgement. :P :D
  11. If I am not mistaken , I believe the factory one is a magnetic plug! :P
  12. Laser out of adjustment, could try cleaning it , but it's probably time for a new changer! :o
  13. Its blown! See if the dealership will replace it, or better yet by something better to put back in there! :D
  14. Not trying to be an !Removed!, but if you look 4 posts down someone asked the same question! Post your questions there! Ya might get some answers! Or read the post, your answers are probably there! :P
  15. I just replaced the rear diff oil in my 93 GS300! it was pretty easy. You will need a pretty large allen wrench to remove the drain plug and the sight plug. Sorry I don't remember the size. An oil drain pan, and 2 quarts of 75w-90w oil. A hand pump or an air compressor can be used to to pump the fluid into the rear diff. i f you use the air compressor keep the pressure low, you will need about 5 feet of clear tubing. Cut the tubing in half, place one end in the diff, the other end will go into the oil jug with one end of the other piece of tubing you cut in half. The final end will onto the nozzle of a blow gun for an air compressor. DO NOT USE VERY MUCH PRESSURE, THE JUG WILL EXPLODE, SO KEEP IT LOW. you cab always turn up the oressure if it is to slow. You will need to drill a hole in the oil jug lid for both tubes, it has to be somewhat tight. If you have a sloped driveway , park the car facing up hill Start with jacking up the rear end under the rear diff, place the car on jackstands. wear safety glasses to keep foreign objects out of your eyes using the large allen, and maybe a breaker bar, loosen the top sight bolt first, then remove careful oil may spill out, keep your oil drain pan handy Clean the bolt, place in a safe place loosen and remove the bottom drain plug take notice of any metal shavings on the drain plugs magnet, clean drain plug, place in a safe place. Notice the black, dirty oil, thats bad!!!! after oil das drained, replace and tighten drain plug begin adding new oil through sight bolt opening, via pump or air compressor, when oil begins to dribble out of the sight hole you are done replace oil sight bolt jack up car, remove jack stands, lower car, remove all jacks, tools and anything else you left in your path! Take your GS3 for a quick test drive Make sure there are no oil drips under car after it has sat awhile, if so retighten both bolts or use teflon tape to seal the threads! Enjoy!
  16. I just added an injen intake to my GS3. I reset the ECU while installing it. I noticed a slight improvement. It looks great and I feel was a beneficial mod to the GS3. The only thing that was not by the manual, was that the factory mount is used, but it did not line up to the bolt hole on the fender that the factory one uses. I took a small piece of metal strapping and cut it about an inch and a half long and painted it black. Then everything bolted up and was secure! If you got a gs with an exhaust get an intake, you will be happy with the results! :D :P
  17. I would also add a better or bigger trans oil cooler, so this doesn't happen again! :D
  18. :o Yes lexo, burnt fliud is bad and is the plates loosing material. You should rebuild the tranny!
  19. :o My 93 is the same way, I took a rag and cleaned all the lint and dust off the condensor. Washed it out by opening the outside airvents and spraying water down the air intake vents by the windshield! I had a mildew smell when the car first was started up, after all the above, and a shot of GIO cologne over the condenser, my car now smells like the pimp machine it is!!!! :D I was lead to belive only the 98 &up had the filter?
  20. Now for your problem.. It's a real easy problem too and alot of people overlook it or don't even think about it.. So check it out, you said that after the shop balanced the rims you still have the shaking, right? If you do I can almost guarantee that the wheels you bought aren't hub-cemetric with your hubs.. What that means then is that in order for the rim to fit properly you have to buy some centering-rings.. You see, right now the rim isn't sitting properly on the hub, it has extra space around the inner part of the rim where the hub is supposed to fit snugly and because of that it moves around.. It's a simple fix and will only cost you a few bucks.. But if I were you I'd do it fast because with your wheel sitting like that on your hub it puts extra pressure on the bolts and they will start to "WALK", that means they will loosen and start to move around.. :o Okay Mike! I saw those and wanted an excuse to buy, so I guess I will try them and see if it helps! The vibration was pretty bad when I had them balanced online, however after having Discount Tire rebalance them it was pretty much gone. I even asked the tech and he said that they were not balanced properly , but whatever! I will try the rings! I will keep ya posted! Thanks!! :D
  21. I bought 20's for my GS300, I bought them online and paid extra to have the spun balanced. However, when I got them I had a bad vibration over 40mph. I took it to Discount Tire, and they spun them again and it was almost gone. I still think there is a tiny bit of vibration from one of the wheels, but I am not sweating it! I think electronic tire balancers are not always accurate. I think the most accurate way actually is the old waywith the bubble! I ride bikes to and here is what a fellow rider has determined! spin balancing problems :o :D
  22. I put the tannabe cat back setup on my 93 GS and it just a bit to loud for my tastes. I get lots of compliments on it's throaty rumble, but I would almost actually prefer the quietness of stock, just not it's restrictiveness! :D
  23. They are a better plug period, but as far as noticing any gains, I can't really say that I have in the lexus. I put them in my Mazda MX6 and I swear it seems a little faster! I would put them in just because they are the best plug out right now! :D
  24. My 93 is the same way, I hae noticed it's better with the power switch engaged! I think it is just the automatic tranny. I am going to try a few things to see if it helps, I will keep everyone posted :D :o
