1. Thanks Bartkat. But it works with other Lexus models---- as per other models forums. A freind of mine was telling me he had ASL in his motorcycle and it works fine. How could Lexus screws up something like this?
2. Does this thing ever work? I have it in the "On" position BUT can't feel it works in my car; any insights?
3. The one I'm referring to is a sketch on a piece of sticker stuck on the front end of internal side of the hood. To see it, open up the hood and if you're right at the centerline of the car it'll be over your right shoulder (this is for the 2006 250AWD). I'm not sure if this has somethng to do with control at all; i thought it may be used to vacuum something.
4. I found a seketc on the internal side of the hod and called "Vacuum Hose Routing Diagram". I could not lock up any thing about this in the manual so anyone knows what is it all about? Thanks.
5. It's of no value unless you live a mile or two away from the dealership. Eventualy any dealership could do this to any first hand Lexus owner if they stop by them. But I think washing my car by myself is the best way as Colby pointed out.
6. The reason it was never an option is because the front and rear tires are different sizes when you go with the 18's. Different size front/rear tires are not recommended on the AWD system. You could however, run 18's on the AWD if they are the same size... which also allows you to rotate tires, which the OEM 18's cannot allow for. ================================================ Are you suggestting that there is no stability issues with the 18" on the the 250AWD?
7. Yeah, I was wondering about that. They didn't even make it as an option. There's probably a reason... So, I'm deciding if I should go w/ the stability or the look. :D If you have no intention to drive it on a snowy roads the stability issue would not be that paramount.
8. I wonder if the 18" wheels would compromise the car stability. Otherwise, why would they have installed the 17"?
9. Heh... I thought so... They look great. Do they have similar chrome rims for 17"? I'm just wondering because I'm considering getting AWD but the only thing I don't like is the 17" wheels :( Why 17" wheels in particular?
10. Hey AKK, don't make TSX as a reference here; IS is higher in class. I love TSX. You can always lease if you don't have enough cash. good luck
11. Did you clean the lense (on the trunk); if there is a little particle on it then it shows on the screen. Best way is to blow some air on it or gently wipe it with a dry rug.
12. Thanks Scott, hmm i don't have the label on mine..:( so for the OEM stereo, what brand it is? anyone know? thanks for the picture too ;) PIONEER
13. V-Power is the Shell prem gasoline and it's different from other prem gas because it contains up to 10 ethanol. Based on my experience using it and using other prem gasoline, it seems it got less power output than other ones. V-power avarages 18 GPM but other prem gas averages 22 GPM.
14. For a year and a half now I had NO success in this voice command thing.
15. "...They should care because they will slowly erode customer confidence and go down the toilet." I agree with you. BUT they may use this as a ploy to let people think that all these flaws would be mitigated in the next gen and buy it. However, I myself would never ever consider something from a manufacturer that did not bother to fairly answer my questions.
16. I found that my car consumes more of V-Power gas than the prem. gas. the difference is about 4 mpg...I thought that this does not make sense but I checked that twice. Enyone experienced same thing?
17. "......was inspected and found to be operating within Lexus specifications. We apologize that the vehicle has not met your expectation" Their response rhymes with what my service manager told me __and I posted that sometimes ago__ "your expectations from this car are too high" The direct meaning is "live with what you got" I have had a terrible experience with those guys from Lexus USA where the rep girl never phoned me back as she promised even after leaving her a couple of messages. Anyway, people are buying their cars so why should they care that much!
18. http://my.is/forums/f126/here-list-all-bul...our-car-309244/ ============ Unfortunately, the link does not open and I could not download the TSIB list..here is the message returned, Gateway Timeout The following error occurred: " A DNS lookup error occurred because the request timed out during the lookup. " Did any one open it?
19. I guess once you pay the money, they will tell you"results may vary depending on the model, blah, blah". They did not offer money back gurantee. Some pople in this forum and other Lexus forums were proposing hacks but never worked with my IS.
20. Clay1: Thanks for taking the time to write this letter. However, I think you need not to relate this problem to 07 models only, I've 06' IS250 and have this problem. Anyway, if they happen to respond to you please let's know. Thanks.
21. I thought you mentioned Montreal in one of your prev. posts, I could be wrong. Don't get that upset, your contribution to this forum is commendable .
22. barkat, you're in montreal so roads there are far better than here in houston so you don't know how much irritating to have noise from a brand new luxury vehichle. When i drive my IS on a well paved road i hear nothing but when i drive it on these bumpy roads I feel the car got no bolts or nuts at all.
23. I got a kit from those @#$%Trim it's crap, in the pic it looks good but when you get them you realize right away that it's a joke. The problem is you can return them but there is 30% overstock charge; they guys who sell them are very crappy too. I wonder how could people get away with such dishonestness? There is nothing like factory stuff. and, Lexus is a good car to be contaminated with these fake plastics.
