  1. Now if you added one of those bull you-know-whats, dangling from the hitch that I've seen around town, that would complete the masculine make-over of your RX 350!
  2. I'm a guy, and I drive mine with my head held high; and with not a single identity issue!
  3. Sounds like you need to find the right (and honest) Toyota dealership, because they're not all like that. I also take my RX 350 to a local Totota dealership, and have had nothing but excellent service. Typically the service I receive from Toyota is about half the price of what Lexus would charge for the exact same service and parts.
  4. The 4300 does not appear bright enough to me. Has a more yellowish-look to it. I have 5000 HIDs on another car and they are bright white. I have 6000 HIDs on another car and they start going towards the blueish look. Is anyone else unhappy with their OEMs HIDs? Thanks Andy I have no problem at all with the OEM lights on my 08 RX 350..
  5. Couldn't agree more.. Why put some clunky GPS device in your cockpit area when you already have a nice built-in version?
  6. Absent the poor FE of the RDX engine due to derating until the turbo comes on line that award would have undoubtedly gone to the RDX. The clear majority of the time the RDX engine runs in the derated, 8:1 compression ratio, mode. Shame. But I wonder, like the RX350 buying public at large, if J D Powers wasn't also mislead into believing the RX350 has a center open diff'l aided by a VC. It doesn't. Would you mind translating this into plain english for the rest of us? :(
  7. LOL! I'm a guy, and based on that I'm glad that I only own one third of the 'trifecta'.., because I definitely could not deal with the consequences of owning all three!! :(
  8. Have had my 08 RX 350 for a little more than a year now, and have never had any starting problems, either warm or cold. Hopefully it's just some mechanical issue/adjustment with your car that they can resolve quickly, and to your satisfaction.
  9. My 08 RX 350 owner's manual indicates that the temperature displays on the NAV system can display in either Celsius or Fahrenheit, but I didn't dig any further to see how to change it. If you want to change yours, you may want to consult your owner's manual further or take it to a dealer and have then do it. At least it appears that it CAN be changed back and forth..
  10. Might a Toyota dealer do it for less? I would definitely ask. They do everything else on my RX 350 for a lot less than the Lexus dealer. As an example, my car is due for the 15K mile service that Lexus quoted me $350+ to do. I'm having the exact same work done at Toyota for about $150 less..
  11. Are you sure it wasn't a giant grasshopper? Maybe you just thought it was a Suburu. You do know that in most states it is illegal to drink and drive, right?
  12. What do you mean by 'fully reconnect'? My Motorola RAZR connects automatically each time the car is started, as long as Bluetooth on the phone is powered on..
  13. And all this time I thought the seats in my rx 350 were 100% leather.. silly me I guess..!
  14. I won't argue with your testing regimen, or the results; but your results do make me feel much better using high test; especially at today's outrageous prices..
  15. They are designed to be on all the time for safety, and yes, they're all like that..
  16. My 'Savannah Metallic' RX 350 has the ivory leather interior, and it looks great. But it does seem to show dirt easier than darker colors of leather that I have had in the past. I make a point to use a good quality leather cleaner and conditioner regularly to keep them looking nice..
  17. Do they throw in the jar of vasaline?? lol to hell with vasaline, for 90~272$ it better come with a complementary !Removed!...LOL I do the service @ toyota here in canada as well...1/3 the price, but no rental car or "free" interior vacuuming Probably no 'free' croissants, coffee, lexus bottled water, 60" flat screen TV or car wash either... LOL My RX 350 is coming up on being due for 15K mile service. Lexus dealership price - $385; Toyota dealership - $159 for the EXACT same work. Is this a no-brainer or what?
  18. You can bet that your Lexus dealership would have charged you 4-5 times that amount for the exact same work. Of course, at the Lexus dealership you can have a danish and a cup of coffee while you're waiting..
  19. I wonder if we bring the car to the dealer with the tire pressure light on, they will fix it for me for free? That will depend on the complexity of the problem, I'm sure.. They didn't charge me when they took care of mine; although the solution was simply to top off the tire pressures above the 30 psi threshold, so it took all of about 10 mins tops..
  20. Had a similar experience as Jeff with my Sprint MotoRAZR V3m; no problems at all transferring my phone book to the car's phone book/speed dial..
  21. We are extremely happy with our 08 RX 350. Just past 10K miles, and no complaints at all!
  22. Agree that $90 is WAY too much for an oil change and tire rotation; but what does your dealership charge for the "10K mile service", which in reality is not much more than an oil change and tire rotation. I'll bet they quote you a lot more than $90..
  23. I dont mean to sound snotty but if anyone can't afford premium gas then they probably shouldn't buy a 42 thousand dollar vehicle. However, in today's world, being 'able to afford' premium fuel is a relative concept; what with the way gas prices are going these days. It is predicted to top $4.00/gal for REGULAR in my area before the spring/summer driving season is over... OUCH!! :(
