  1. I use Toyota exclusively for my RX 350 service, and have been very satisfied. And I don't miss the 'Lexus' bottled water.. Since Lexus is a Toyata product, the service is exactly the same, for about half the price. I can not think of a downside to using Toyota service for your Lexus..
  2. Agree that you need to check the spare....which is usually the problem..
  3. Sounds like operator driving habits to me, rather than tire quality or rotation issues. 5K mile rotation is still the recommended schedule..
  4. Don't you have it serviced every 5K miles anyway (Lexus recommended)? If so, that's the perfect time to have tires rotated as part of each 5K mile service visit. And everything I've read recommends the 5K mile rotation schedule..
  5. Either of the bras you mentioned will catch my eye every time, but I'd have to go with the clear ones, because they leave nothing to the imagination! Sorry, can't help you with your question on where to get one though..
  6. You do realize of course that the main trip odometers in the instrument cluster DO NOT reset automatically until you reset them yourself, right?
  7. When I do have to replace my OEM Goodyears, I'm definitely going with Michelin or Toyo..
  8. Please share with us here what they do tell you. I think we'd all be interested in hearing what they say..
  9. Are you talking about these? Not for the easily offended... You got it! :o
  10. I guess I'll chime in and say that I've also had this 'problem' with my 08 RX 350 since the day I drove it off the lot (23K miles now), but it really hasn't ever bothered me because it goes away after a few miles, and I've always chalked it up to a normal cold engine warming up.
  11. Curious if you've had to upgrade your nav in those 6 years? Seems to me that a lot has changed in that length of time.. Or do you just live with the random few gaps in accuracy?
  12. I am having the same problem. MP3 titles work fine, CDs not so much.....09 RX350. Same problem with my 08 RX 350.. Noticed it right away when I loaded my first CDs, a mix of store bought and home burned.. I don't know if there is a 'fix' for it, and I've just accepted it as the way it is.. Maybe we'll both get a solution or definitive answer here..
  13. probably... Great, maybe I should take some of that luck to Vegas with me!
  14. Never heard of the 'dark color floor mats only' issue, sounds pretty fishy to me.. The chrome/silver door handles were introduced with the 2008 model, along with a re-design of the front grill.. I have an 08 RX, and I kinda like the chrome door handles..
  15. I keep hearing about how bad the OEM Goodyears wear, and trust me I am not a Goodyear fan by any means; but I just turned over 22K on my 08 RX, and I still have a lot of wear left on the Goodyears; with no unusual/abnormal wear patterns. Am I just lucky?
  16. I had to take my RX into the dealer a couple of weeks ago because the tire pressure warning light came on. The dealer said it was the spare and corrected the problem. He also said that he was seeing a bunch of cars lately for the same problem, due to the weather change according to him.. Still kind of annoying though..
  17. You could try setting up an owner's account with Lexus online, which gets you access to a lot of information about your car; including an electronic version of the owner's manual. I've done this for my 08 RX, and not sure if it's the same for older models, but certainly worth a try. Good luck..
  18. Based on what we have learned on this thread, I certainly hope you declined it!
  19. Are you saying that fuel injection service is not needed at 30K (or any time for that matter), or that it is a rip-off, or what?
  20. You might also want to consider fuel injection service at 30K miles. My Toyota service department recommends it at 30K, but it costs $149 extra. Lexus may or may not include this in their 30K service (I would hope so for $880+)..
  21. When our RX was barely 3 mos old we let it sit for more than a week once while on vacation, and it fired right up when we returned...no problem. I think you're being fed a line of you know what..
  22. And in this discussion we should not forget the annoying low tire pressure sensors/warning lights on the dash that activate if any of the tire pressures (including spare) fall below the programmed threshold. :(
