  1. What is wrong with your converter? Is it clogged, then yes to a decrease in miliage due to that! If it is just not performing then it may effect your fuel air mixture and that would cause what your seeing as well. If you replace your converter I would love to buy your old one from you to make a test pipe so I can take mine off. I would even pay shipping to me and then ship it back to you. I need it to make a test pipe. BP
  2. Your starter stayed ingaged and it is fried. Good luck. BP
  3. I have the Nakamichi, it has froze on me once. When I cut the car off and restarted it was working fine. I have not seen the issue since. BP
  4. 1. I would say they should be the same strength. 2. Without a picture I can only guess. I would say that the ones that has two extra wires have heated mirrors for colder climates. BP
  5. It is called gasohol. Hess is a huge supplier of it. Stay away from it. It does not have the same energy as gas. It is called it calorific value and gasohol does not have the same calorific value. BP
  6. I am interested in them. Would you ship them to 29072 Of course I would pay the shipping. Let me know if you will.. thanks, BP
  7. They had a problem with the balancing weights falling off for me. They cleaned the inside of the rims really good and they have stayed balanced. BP
  8. I have the traction TA and yes they are noisy. I had the mich pilot and I thought they where just as noisy. It is called having a low profile wider tire.. you going to get noise. BP

  11. I would check your throttle body, could be dirty.. then your motor mounts.. There is not an adjustment for idle RPM. BP
  12. I think the tilt thing can be changed by the dealer with their "C-best" settings. I have thought about wiring a switch in to disable.... should be pretty easy.. BP
  13. sounds like a wheel bearing. Lift each wheel up individually and turn it. should not make any noise.. If it is a bearing it will only get worse. BP
  14. That does not sound good. I would check all the fuse boxes under the hood to ensure that there is not any water or moisture in the plastic boxes. I would start under the hood.. Your ears my play a really good role in helping you find the problem. The next step that I think I would do is to pull out all the fuses every one of them. Make sure that you put back in the rated fuse for each location in the fuse block. After each re - install I would stop and listen to see if the issue repeats from what you saw before. Each time you put a fuse in make sure it does not blow or open the fuse. It sounds like you have a real issue with this. You may want to see if you can get a schematic to figure out what should have power when the car is off. Troubleshooting a problem like this really is a bit of art.. no science... A lot of it is gut feel about where to start and where to go.. some folks have this ability and most do not. Good luck with this. BP
  15. You will not get much help over here.. there are a bunch of newbies here.. I would stay over at CL... BP
  16. Which it? The pedal or the brakes stay on? If it is the pedal check your return spring. If is the brakes you have a caliper sticking. Does your car pull to one side or the other? BP
  17. Sounds like a relay. I am not sure where it would be. I would reverse the leads on the motor so that up is down and down is up. Just to make sure you dont have a mechanical issue. BP
  18. Check your brake fluid level. If it is low the "float" level switch will make it come on. Is your ABS/VSC light on? BP
  19. Sounds a little high inless the 90K service has been completed.. Timing belt. Lexus parts are more. BP
  20. I bought a 98 Gs400 for 13.5K back in April of 07'. I love it. BP
  21. there is a super charger kit for the GS400... It is pretty costly though.. I think there is an aftermarket supercharger that the accessory belt can turn... BP
  22. How many miles. When does it come on? Idle after hot interstate driving? Only when turning? What weight oil are you running? Oil pump failures are very rare for the 1uzfe engine. BP
  23. 1999 and 1998 had issue with the steering pre tensioner it might need to be tightened. Tell your Lexus dealer to look at ST003-98 it is for the 98 GS but yours might apply. It is called the steering flutter field fix. Mine is smooth as silk. If you don't like it sell it and drive your Civic. BP
  24. Check your brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir. Having low level or a bad float switch will make this light come on as well. BP
