I've had it a little more than a month. It's leaking slowly. I've known since a few days after I got it. I suppose I should try and find out exactly where it's leaking from shouldn't I? I know it is getting on the alternator, because it has goopy dust on it.

Hey real quick, anyone know where there's a tutorial for replacing the PSpump on SC400? I was driving to work today, and when I got here, it's making all kinds of racket.

I had a sable that was overheating because of that. What is the proper method to get air out?

Well yeah, if you got the TPS code, it's likely going bad. On my cars is was evident in the way they operated though. And the second one was actually wiring TO the TPS, no the sensor itself.

Yeah, I can get a good squerk in here and there with mine. It seems more prevalent if I shove the pedal quickly to about 3/4 throttle instead of full throttle. What's the proper brake torquing method btw?

I've had throttle position sensors go out on two different cars. Not Lexus though. Beside the point though. I don't think either of these parts would be hard to replace. I know the TPS wasn't on the other cars.

So, what's the best way to bind the rigid plastic parts together? I was thinking of taking a piece of metal and bolting it to both pieces to they're tight. Both my panels are cracked, but the pleather is still intact. Anyone know a good tutorial showing taking the door panels off?

Ya, I'm kinda screwed now though. I can't get a loan on a bike until at least November because I JUST got the loan on the Lex. First payment is due the 15th actually. So... It's either save some cash quick and get a cheap bike for now, or just plain old wait til next year... booo... :(

So, my being as stubborn as I am, I ran my car really low on gas yesterday. I was watching, waiting for the low fuel light to come on while driving on the highway, and suddenly, the check engine light came on. I fueled up after work, it stayed on. However, later that night at some point it went off. But this morning it's on again. Any ideas? Can you check the codes on these cars by jumpering pins like some american cars?

You know, theoretically speaking; If money were no object, couldn't you get more power out of the 4.0? I mean, twin turbo whatever... It'd be all custom I would think because of lack of mass-produced aftermarket performance parts on that engine, but like I said, if money were no object...

Hi there. I had my hood open with the car running the other day. I noticed this occasional PSSSST sound coming from somewhere. It's not constant hissing. Just PSSSST......PSSSSSSSSSSSST...PST. Every once in a while. I took a picture of the area I think it's coming from. Is this a leak, or is it just something that normally happens? Thank you.

Oh, one more thing. I was REALLY stretching the wiring to mount it that far forward. While pulling on the wires trying to get extra length, something snapped and I thought it was something breaking, or disconnecting that wasn't supposed to. But, theres a clip that holds the wires down under there somewhere, and it came unclipped from the body of the car, and gave me tons of extra length. WHEW. If you use this method, you may want to consider pulling it off like I did, because I was afraid I was pulling the wires too hard at the connectors.
