Anyone know where there is a tutorial on changing a timing belt? My SC400 has about 103k miles on it, and I don't believe the timing belt has been changed. I have all the maintenance records, gotta look through them better. Also, where do you suggest getting a service manual from?

Is it already covered on here and my laziness to search for it is gunna bite me in the !Removed!?

Hey there. Just bought my 1993 SC400 last Tuesday. I love it. It has had conventional oil in it it's whole life. What do you all think about switching to synthetic like mobil 1? I'm thinking about it. I went on a trip this weekend, and had quaker state synthetic blend put in. Is it worth putting mobil one next oil change at this point? the car has about 103,000 miles right now, and runs like new of course. And what about oil filters? I've seen people on here or another forum saying it'd be best idea to get the OEM filter.

Thanks .. that's what I thought. I found a sorry example of a '92 with a sunroof and my hair was barely touching the headliner. I do not need a sunroof so I guess I'll narrow it down to non-sunroof cars. Thanks for all the responses! I'm 6'3", just bought a 1993 SC400 with sunroof. I have the seat all the way back, and reclined pretty far, and sometimes my hair touches the ceiling. No big deal though.

Is the serpentine belt also the timing belt? I just bought my 1993 SC400 six days ago, and still getting acquainted with it.
