  1. Congratulations!!! Got any pics? Not liking the clutch huh? Might just take some time...I'm sure you'll get used to it. Any other impressions? Wife has the IS250AWD. While it has six speeds, they shift automatically ;) I do prefer a stick, but with the paddle shifters and all...and the smoothness of the auto in the IS, I can't complain.
  2. It's not that they look BAD, they just don't really add anything...stock wheels are just as nice...a sideways move, not a move up. Make sense? But yeah, the car is way shiny...nice weather down under now huh? We got snow, rain...tough to keep the car clean these days.
  3. Well, FWIW, anything darker than 30% in Washington state is illegal on the front windows. The back...you can do whatever you want. SUV's and minivans come with 5% from the factory. Reflective tint is also illegal on the front windows in this state. I had reflective tint on my front windows on my last car, had it for FOUR years, got pulled over twice for speeding, and the trooper never mentioned it. Was NEVER an issue seeing out. Why would car manufacturers put such dark tint on the rear windows if it was? I'm thinking of putting 20% all the way around on my new Subaru wagon, and my wife will probably do the same on her new IS.
  4. Exactly! Almost told them to not bother when they said they were "getting my wifes IS ready for delivery". That entailed a kid with a dirty rag "cleaning" the inside windows and washing the exterior. Was too late to stop them. Oh well. Now, if you do wax it yourself, what do you use?
  5. Well now, I'm glad at least SOMEONE else is like me ;) I drive a Subaru, my wife has the IS. NEITHER car will EVER see a car wash. They are hand washed and dried. Just can't trust what they do to your car. What if the guy in front of you had a greasy ended diesel or something...those dirty oily brushes getting all over your car...no way....hand washed and dried. And they both sleep in the garage, btw...
  6. I'd take it in NOW. Don't wait another 500 miles. At the very least, call the dealer first thing Monday. Very odd. Let us know what they tell you.
