  1. You have an antenna plug not properly reconnected to the Nav. If you have Sat radio, that may also be not working, as it is the same antenna.
  2. Voice Commands - see toward the bottom of the list. There's another step in the manual where you have to first record the name into the system so it recognizes it. (do your first born a favor and do not name it after me.) 3. I had vibration on a Porsche at only 40K miles. Tire guy said cupping was causing the vibration, and to replace the worn shocks. Not believing him, I replaced all 4 tires and they cupped right away too. Later, replaced the shocks; problem went away.
  4. I have 10K miles on each of the Garmin 350 and my built in Lexus Nav. Garmin makes up for small screen size with better user interface and text to speech instructions. I am used to hearing my wife tell me where to turn :chairshot: and I prefer to not take my eyes off the road. If you want to see a really bad UI, try a MB with toggle switch to enter text :cries: or BMW with the round button that you press, turn and toggle for text only, no map Almost as bad as no Nav at all.
  5. I haven't checked mine, but usually the mfr puts it in an empty slot in the fuse box.
  6. I don't wax my shielded areas as I see no need. But I don't worry about overlap either. Just don't rub wax into the line as it may get under it.
  7. Let me guess - the dealer is going to charge you about $700 for sealant? Here is what my wife and I did in 2 hours, including wax on top of sealant, on her CLK when it arrived: Griot's sealant
  8. Not an unreasonable price for what is covered. I had it done on my wife's pewter CLK550 and will be getting it on my incoming Porsche. Very nice, no yellowing after a year, can hardly see the line. It's all in the capability of the installer. Ask to see somebody's car before you decide. Do it before or the hour after you take delivery. No point in applying it over road rash.
  9. A few months ago I did get an appointment with the Lexus BT guru for my Motorola RAZR. He showed me how to transfer entries one at a time using the send contact from the phone book menu. It was the best they could offer. I did a few and gave up. So complicated in the Lexus Nav screen menu I forgot now. In any case, you can't enter a number while driving, so I am back to using the phone to dial.
  10. My RAZR V3 connects automatically. The service BT guru showed me how to download from the phone address book. It only works one entry at a time, and is such a complex process, I can only remember and describe it from in the car when I am in the middle of doing it.
  11. I did it once with the existing ones after I got a flat. Not that difficult with the manual. Maybe it is a dealer-only job with new ones.
  12. Your GF is a keeper - I agree with everything she says. I have the stock 18" because that's what it came with off the boat.
  13. Depending how green and how much, could be A/C condensation.
  14. I wish I could find a way for the steering wheel "Mode" button to skip FM and AM.
  15. I love a nice sounding exhaust, but I would rather have an extended warranty for the same price. Even more so compared to the Ground Effects/Body Kit.
  16. Try pressing the Homelink button in the car at the same time that someone else is pressing the learn button on the garage door motor. I think that is what worked for me.
  17. XM is a $486 option when ordered on the car. It should not be much more even if the dealer has to do the install.
  18. "Open Says Me" :D That is one I would love to have.
  19. Not included. I bought mine at Radio Shack. About $12.
  20. Lexol works OK, but I have had great results on my Porsche (gray) and MB (creme) leather seats with Leatherique rejuvenating oil and prestine clean It is a 2 - step process with oil first (counter-intuitive, I know), bake the car in the sun all day with windows closed, then wipe off excess oil with the Prestine clean. They have other products for more vigorous cleaning and dyeing, but I have not needed to use those.
  21. I looked in the trunk hoping to find and be able to post a pic of the Sirius receiver and the pinout to my existing shark fin antenna. All I found was on the passenger side, what looked like a power amp with cooling fins. It's in there somwehere, just buried under carpet. If I wanted an OEM type install, I would tell my dealer that Lexus of Stevens Creek service was able to do it. They used a Lexus OEM sat unit, not the aftermarket kind you buy at an electronics retailer.
  22. If you already have a shark fin antenna on the roof, there is a pinout in the trunk for hookup of the sat receiver. Without running wires to another antenna. Your dealer should know about it.
  23. I put these 4300 H1 on my Porsche for under $200 and am satisfied with them. I suppose they work on any light housing, but I have no idea. If you have not installed these before, get a friend who has. The instructions most of them come with are not enough.
