  1. I have an 06 400h, just shut the seat belt buzzer off, thanks great tip. I used to be able to do the on screen overide so my passenger could run the nav, till I purchased the new update. Now it doesnt work anymore. I do remember seeing post a year or 2 ago about clipping the vss wire at the back of the nav. I was looking for that post and was planning on doing it but am having a hard time finding it. Does anyone here know about this and does it affect anything else with the nav or the mileage readings.
  2. I have a 2001 ES300 and after the cruse is set, if I tap the brake or pull the lever toward me to dalay the cruse it will not resume, I have to reset the cruse completely. I have a 2006 RX400 and it will resume no problem at all. Does everyone have this same problem with there ES or any other Lexus for that matter.
  3. I tow my boat all over. It is a 20 foot Allison bass boat and weigh's a bit over 2000 pounds with the trailer. You dont even know its behind you it pulls so nice. I can even get it out of most boat landings on electric power. My last trip towing the boat was 200 miles at 20.2 MPG. I now have 7900 miles on my 400h
  4. AFAIK, no you can't.....however double check your owners manual for programming the keyless entry. B) Thanks, by the way, what is AFAIK
  5. Is there a way to program the remote to open all doors with one push of the unlock button?
  6. I own an auto repair shop and one of the reasons for purchasing a hybrid was to learn more about the tecnology. Since my shop specializes in Transmissions we will need to disable the hybrid battery before removing the transmission. So our work on these vehicles will be a bit more intense than just servicing it. I am also a Rep for Ease Diagnostics and this scan tool will show me anything the dealers scan tool will including being able to re flash the Lexus computer. So if you are going to a shop other than a Lexus dealer, just make sure they have the equipment and know how to do the job right. The shops that stay ahaid of the game are the ones that will survive.
  7. Barefoot Bob..... I didn't know there is way to overrided the nav to enter commands (assuming destiantion, addresses) while in motion :) . Can you please let me know where to find the info- another post , web , etc.? Thanks. Go to the menu screen, the touch volume, then touch the speeker in the left top corner of your screen. Then touch the bottom left corner of your screen(I know there is nothing there, just touch there anyway) Then the top again and the bottom one more time. Now a whole new screen will come up. Touch and hold overide till you hear a beep(about 5 seconds) and you are in. You have to do this every time you start up if you want to overide the system. Hope this helps, Bob
  8. There is a guy over sea's that was able to get into the system and run his camera in forward position. I tried it the same way he did and was unable to. Seems all we can do in the USA is over ride the system so we can enter the Nav screen in motion, but thats it.
  9. I was rolling along about 15MPH down a quite little street right behind a Lady and her small son on bicycles. They didnt even know I was behind them. The small boy moved right in front of my vehicle and was just peddling along. His mom was the one that looked back and saw me right behind him. Poor kid got his butt chewed real good. The kid just looked at the Lexus in amazement as I passed still on electric power. I think I need a real big Sub. Then they would hear the music....LOL
  10. Just get a boat like mine, it pulls just fine and weighs about 2000 pounds with the trailer. XB2002 (20foot) Allison with a 260 Merc outboard. It looks real cool behing the Lexus and will run 100+ MPH on the water. You will love it. Bob
  11. Why is that? I believe that he was referring to the idea that when they fill the tanks at a gas station, it stirs up sediment and water in the tanks. Neither is desirable in your car. Thanks Jim, you hit it right on the head.
  12. I run 87 octane and 89 if its the same price. I was planing on seeing if there is a proformance change between what I have been running and premium once summer comes around. I purchase gas from all stations. I just make sure I never fill up when the tanker truck is there.
  13. Mine is a Kenwood docking system so I can use it anywhere. I made myself a plexeglass stand that sits in front of the center council. I just put some velcro on the dash to hold the antena in place. This way I can remove it when I want and use it in another vehicle.
  14. I have mine right in the middle of the dash also and it works great. If you ever lift the dash panel for some reason you could instal it under the plastic. It will shoot right through that also
  15. I know that on my Nokia phone I have to load each name in memory one at a time.
  16. Natalie?????...Nice...LOL. Lexus of Wayzata is doing a huge addition also, the place will be big. I have to change what I said earlier about it being below zero here. Its was like -16 below zero this morning....BRRRRR
  17. BarryD....Where did you purchase yours? I got mine from Val at Lexus of Wayzata. I now have 2700 miles on it and the only complaint I have is that there are no churches listed on the nav system. Other than that I average right around what you are getting in gas mileage. Its below zero here right now and will be for a few days.So I am sure the mileage will drop a bit.
  18. I am sure itmdtr is right. It also says right in the owners manual that the black antenna is an extra radio antenna along with the one in the back window.
