Good call "VFM" and "amf1932." I had no idea Lexus would give you anything. I went ahead and ask for a new manual for me.

LS4*0 forum. The Lexus dealer usually has all the stuff you might want in the parts dept. I bought my manual, the "leather" manual case, and a cd cartridge there. As I remember, they were around $20 each. You should also watch Ebay. A lot of Lexus' manuals there.

I bet it's a bad Oxygen sensor. It has four. -
I have some bad news for you on the keys. The only way to get the remote system working is to have the Lexus dealer install a new remote receiver chip that comes with two keys which they cut for your car. I had mine done about five years ago for around $300, US.

My '92 smells like shoe polish. Clears up after a couple of minutes. I'm sure it's just a Sulfur smell from the converter.

The Northstar engine is very rough compaired to the LS400 engine. The Japanese can built a motor. The Lexus is smooth as silk. You will have a few problems with the LS aound 90,000 miles. -
The Lexus dealer will check their history of your car for you, but watch out, they will hit you up for a small fortune in repairs, saying the car needs this and that. I would just watch this forum for what the car needs.

Try Ebay. I've bought several sets of wheels for my LS there. I think most Lexus series interchange. Right now, I have a set of 2000 GS wheels on my '92.
