  1. I can use the driver's side rear door window switch/ash tray unit. jmblimo@aol.com
  2. I emailed the guy about the switch and wiring. He answered: "i do but the current location of the switch and control box is unknown so they werent included in the auction, but when i find them i will list them"
  3. Since you've bought it, it doesn't really matter but remember the car is ultra expensive to repair, anywhere, and even worse at the dealer.
  4. R22 is for house units. I don't think it will work in a car. The freeze 12 folks say it will substitute fine, but Lexus parts are awlfully expensive to experiment with.
  5. I managed to get a near brand new set of seats out of a '93. They came out of Florida and cost around $700. I think it was one of the LKQ yards.
  6. Is the small green A/C light blinking on the dash control panel?
  7. In the trunk, it is behind the left panel, the one that has the tool kit door. The whole panel will have to come out. The manual says there are four screws in the tool box compartment that attach the panel. The phone unit should be easy to recognize with the larger coaxial cable going to it (other end went to the antenna). When removed, the electrical connectors should go back together, bypassing that unit.
  8. A couple of questions: Do you have the phone transceiver, located behind the tool panel in the trunk? Do you have the Nakamichi door speakers? Not the big black plastic housings, just the 4" speakers.
  9. Everything work OK? What year, 90 - 94?
  10. Just put it on a trailer
  11. There is a service kit from Lexus for servicing the air suspension. It hooks into the harness inside the trunk. The great thing about it is that it will allow you to select the "Low" setting. Low setting isn't one of the choices on the console switch for USA cars. I bought my kit on Ebay for cheap a few months ago. There should be one on Ebay once in a while.
  12. I'll try to get the diagnosis going: Do you hear the relays click when you turn on the seat heat? It will be a soft click from the passenger seat area. There are two relays, one for each seat, and both are located under the passenger seat. If the relays do work, the problem is probably in the heating units in the seats. If not, it sounds like an electrical supply problem. Also, could always be the relays.
  13. Yes they are! I have one out of an ES250 in my 92 LS right now.
  14. Hi, and welcome! I live in Apex and have had a '92 LS for a long time. The things I've found over the years: the parts are outragous; if you ever go to the dealer for anything, they will find so many things your car needs, it will break the bank. After they get through with you, you'd be better off to junk the car!!! I had a lot of things go out on mine around 90K miles. A/C compressor and evaporator, remote locking system, alternator, and steering rack. 120K on her now. I have learned to fix most things myself.
  15. That website: https://auth.owners.lexus.com/lexusowners/a...2fssl%2fWelcome
  16. Sure! R & R should be straight foward, just taking out the screws and using a puller. Sometimes a puller isn't necessary on imports. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY before you start!!!
  17. Also, a strong back. Those seats are heavy!
  18. No beeps or horn chirp on a '92. No codes to imput either. Just and on/off switch left of the steering column. The dealer will sell you a new receiver chip and two new keys to get your system working. Be forwarned, it will be $300 or more.
  19. I think that it was proven that the problem wasn't the Audi 5000 but the stupid drivers not braking when they put the cars into gear. You know a fuel injection car usually starts with a little higher idle and you can imagine what will happen if you put the car into drive without pressing the brake. That's the problem. The folks were killing their kids and blaming the car.
  20. No, just have the mechanic, or you, wipe the surfaces with some type of brake cleaner or solvent to remove any machining oil that may be left. Since your front brakes do most of the braking, I would want to check them out when a problem shows up on the rear. Rear brake problems are usually a sign of weak fronts. I have a friend that has a SC400 that when you brake fairly hard, feels like some one it hitting the back of the car with a hammer. I assume this is simular to what you're talking about. I fyou brake his gently, you don't feel the problem at all.
  21. My ride height switch is dark. How do you replace the bulb? What does the buld look like?
  22. "She" would have received a lot more negative feedback if Ebay had not closed the account. Looks like everyone that bought the LS400 stuff got stiffed. Ebay stops the feedback process with account suspension. Ebay says they are only a "forum", the transaction is between the seller and me. That attitude draws a lot of crooks and I told Ebay so. Their "insurance" is a joke. There's a $25 deductable against the auction amount only, no mention of the shipping charges. They also want you to try every other means to reclaim your money before they will do anything, that is, file against your credit card first - thank goodness I paid with a Visa. My claim has been submitted to Visa but it sure isn't Visa's fault.
  23. Thanks Richard. I followed you advice and filed with Washington state. I had already done so with the federal Internet fraud site. I know it won't do any good, like you said, but i will feel better doing everything I can. I've had more trouble on Ebay in the last couple of months than the three years prior. Looks to me like a lot of crooks have moved in.
  24. Hi all. I, and several other folks had their money "stolen" last month by Ebay's "ittybittyamy1," Amy Ebbesen of BELLEVUE, Washington. This person listed a bunch of LS400 parts for auction, and of course didn't send them out after being paid. These auctions ended in mid October. Anybody else on the forum been stung by this fine person? This is the third time I've be stung by someone in the Seattle area, and no where else. What's going on up there?
  25. If the car has a factory phone, or had one, that's the phone unit you're talking about.
