  1. Why then do all the RX330's I see all have this antenna even if they don't have nav. package?
  2. I assume your serious, did you notice the 6" long "antenna" right rear roof. It can fold down, that's the GPS antenna. Really can't miss it. Are you sure that antenna is not the second diversity radio antenna!! One in window and that one??
  3. Does 1 touch dialing work, It should even without bypass, esp. last number?
  4. 2005 Porsche GT3: Type: Flat-6 Displacement: 3600 cc Horsepower: 380 bhp @ 5800 rpm Torque: 285 lb-ft @ --- rpm Redline: 8200 rpm Performance 0-60 mph: 4.3 sec Cost: $99,900 2006 Z06 Type: V8 Displacement: 7011 cc Horsepower: 505 (530 measured) Torque: 470 lbs-ft@4800rpm Redline: 7000 rpm Performance 0-60 mph: 3.7 sec 1/4-mile: 11.7 seconds Cost: $65,000 At only $42,000, the standard C6 Corvette outperforms the GT3, road and track, according to both Car & Driver and Road & Track magazines. The Z06 is on a much higher plane. Boys, let's put the testosterone aside, and get back to the original topic, which I assume was a serious question. I have experienced low speed engine surges. Slowing down for speed bumps on my street the car will occasionally accelerate slightly, I was surprised and was waiting to see If this would be a problem on an icy street. So far it has happened so rarely, that I have not done any further investigation. I assume it is a software glitch! I have not noticed high speed glitches!
  5. Interesting, that so many of us seem to Like 400H's as our second vehicle, after our Porsches. My 92 C2 is much better in the snow than my 76 911S Targa was, But still dicey, so I rely on the RX.
  6. My 400H pairs o.k. with my Sprint samsung A940 and seems to work o.k. As I am driving occasionally the radio or Nav is interupted with the incoming call window which quickly flashes off. Is this because the phone service is dropping and reacquiring or this a quirk from the phone or Sprint? calling out works o.k as does answering through the car system, even with the dialing out limitations! Anyone else notice this problem?
  7. Both my power outlets are ignition switched on my 2006 400H, so that doesn't seem to be a problem!!
  8. Instead of the extension, the visor itself slides further out on it's connecting rod, allowing it to cover more of the driver's window and block the sun. So you pull out the whole visor instead of just an extension. Have you tried this? This works for me, but it's not as functional as the twin visors on my venerable Saab 9-5 that my 400h replaced. ← DUH!! Why didn't I, The Dealer, or my salesman think of that!! My old Porsche has fixed visors! The implant was to be a more creative solution, you took away all the FUN!! Thanks for the easy remedy!! Have a great Holiday!
  9. Driving my new 400H, I recently had the sun shining over my shoulder and into my eye. I flipped my sun visor over and low and behold no extension to pull out, and no way to block the sun, in the 8-10inches between piller and visor. I had become accustomed to this feature on my RX300 and miss it. I am negotiating with my dealer for an old visor of the same color and a new one so I can attempt an extension transplant.. If there is any interest I will post results.
  10. Piece of mind doesn't equate with stretching service intervals. The 400H is a new product and even if the RX330 has been out for a few years we are still beta testing for Lexus. As I stated , for me, I put on high mileage and I have found the extended warantee useful and saved money on my 2000 RX. And I figured it might do the same on my 400H. I service, always ,at more frequent intervals than Lexus stipulated intervals. Automobiles break, especially after the waranty's expire!!! Even Lexus!!
  11. I bought it with my 400H 3 weeks ago about $2140 plus tax. They will knock off 10%. I called around other dealers for a better price, to no avail. Piece of mind and I used it on my RX300, when I went on to higher mileage. I expect to put on a lot more than the usual mileage and exceed the normal warantee before the date runs out. Only buy the Lexus factory warantee for less hassels when needed!
  12. Has anyone applied these products themselves, I am contemplating buying on E-Bay and installing on my 400H. My Rx300 had terrible stone pitting after a few years.
  13. I thought this disables or slows function of the Nav system if the SSW is cut?
  14. I would like to see that info before I purchase a new bluetooth phone. Larry T
  15. Are you still looking? I just sold my 2000 RX300 for a 400H and want to sell mine!
  16. My problem was INTERNAL condensation, this happens everytime you drive in a rain storm. It is the product of replacing my factory headlight assembly with an aftermarket (NON Factory)unit. There probably is a leak somewhere, which I can't identify. So, for the time being I just let the condensation build up when the car is not in use and it drys when the lights are on for a period of time. I am attempting to clean my old assembly's with novus, they are hazy from pitting and that was the reason for the replacement. Watch out if you purchase replacements from E-bay or other aftermarket sources!!!!!!
  17. Did you ever get a response on your question.. I replaced my headlights with aftermarket ones and they do the same thing!! Larry T
  18. Many Lexus(Toyota) parts for our Rx300's are available at Toyota Dealers, for use in the Highlander, at reduced cost. Toyota Dealers have been known to Discount if asked. Filters and crossover parts are worth checking using Lexus part Numbers. Larry T
  19. I have the Same poping sound on my 2000 RX300. The dealer's diagnosis was relays..... it is indeed the Black trim in the heat.. You can reproduce the noise by pushing on trim pieces. I initially thought it was the sun roof closing relay and am glad to hear I am not alone.. I am waiting for results with the felt insertion answer to the problem Thanks, Larry T
  20. I just found out I can order the Lexus # in a 10 pack for about half price, from any Toyota dealer! This can be quite a savings and I can stick to the Factory Filter!! Thanks for your comments, Larry T
  21. Does anyone know if there are any problems in using the toyota Highlander V6 oil filter # 90915-YZZB1 in an RX which calls for a # 90915-YZZB9 ? $5.00 vs $15.00 bugs me if the filters are the same. Thanks, Larry T
