  1. Well, for the 20 mile report - I LOVE IT! Awesome vehicle!! I'll write more later and have a couple follow-up questions, but wanted to pass along my first impression. BTW, they did have to swap out the tires, so thanks to the posters about the Michelin tires.
  2. I am sure someone has hit 90k by now but they may not have done their belt yet. Do you know how much more it would be to change it? If you are using the dealer to do it ask them if you should or maybe call a reputable shop and see what they say. But for peace of mind if it is a little more change it.
  3. Here is an article that may help. http://ezinearticles.com/?How-Do-I-File-a-Diminished-Value-Claim?&id=2733274
  4. And you should also look into filing a diminished value claim. If you are not sure how this works you can PM me and I will be happy to try to help you out. If you have an attorney involved have them take care of this as well. Basically a diminished value claim would get you some money for the loss of value that you have now because you have a car that has been involved in an accident. Now I am not sure about your state but most states you will file this with your own company but it is well worth it. If you are unfamiliar do a google search or call your insurance agent and inquire about this. See CD sometimes I try to find ways to help people get money from their insurance company too! :) :) ;) Just kidding with you!
  5. Guess not to many people have had to replace their timing belts? If the cost is not much more you may want to go ahead and replace it. It is a good question though. Why not call your Lexus dealer and ask if they recommend replacing it when changing the timing belt? I am sure they would tell you that you should change it :) it may be worth a call. Good luck Lemon maybe some others will chime in.
  6. Glad to be able to help. The GX post are a little slow so glad to have another active member. Let me know how you like it. By the way I know what you mean about the rear DVD. I have a 1 and 3 yr old. Have a DVD system in back of the BMW and we had one in the rx330. Great for trips but it is a pain when you are going 10mins down the road and all you hear is daddy put on my toy story movie! Good luck with it...also my dealer tossed in the first two services 5k and 10k so I am not sure if it is standard or something you may want to ask for...
  7. Now the light is back on!!?!! Wifey put gas in it the next day light comes on. Guess I am going to see if it cuts off in a couple days.
  8. Went out in the garage and checked and I have the latitude tour HP on mine.
  9. I just told my dealer that I want the Latitude Tour tires (vs. the Latitude Tour HP) and he said they only have the LT HP. UPDATE - I just called the parts department to see if they had the Latitude Tour in stock (even if not on the GX by default). He said that the GX470 used to have them (in a slightly different size), but that the GX460 is all Latitude Tour HP. Does that sound right? I think that is what I have. Will check for you in the morning.
  10. Thank you very much! No problem goog luck... You can also look at this too... http://www.lexusownersclub.com/search.php?cx=partner-pub-0521093335491635%3Abe501w6b38z&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Servo+motor+rx&sa=Search
  11. If is possible that the servo motor is bad are you hearing a clicking noise??? Do the other modes all work? If not the motor could be bad? Try looking at these...may help. http://www.lexusownersclub.com/search.php?cx=partner-pub-0521093335491635%3Abe501w6b38z&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Servo+motor+rx&sa=Search
  12. Here you go this may help. Not the same car but should give you the general idea. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53999&hl=
  13. Sorry about other post was typing in a hurry. Do a search for this on here I think I have seen an illustration.
  14. I have a quick question for you then. I've heard that some ship with the Michelin Latitude Tour and some with the LTX M/S 2. Which do you have / recommend? I left the conversation open ended with the dealer and just said Michelin. BTW, thanks for all your help! Back online...we had CPU problems at the office :chairshot: I have the Latitudes on mine and they ride great not much noise and a nice smooth ride... since I have no experience with the LTX I have no clue if they are a better tire or not...you can check out tirerack and look at the reviews online maybe...but I think you would be happy with the Latitudes...
  15. That's great...I have the Michelins on mine too.
  16. The Rx 330 that started having the servo motor problem...will drive you nuts In my case I had it serviced and told the shop that was working on it to replace the cabin filter and why they were at it if they had any electrical contact cleaner spray and lubricant to give the servo motors a shot...well it seemed to of at least helped. We got rid of the RX shortly after but took a 500 + mile trip in it before and I did not even hear it one time. It could have just been luck but it is worth a try...
  17. You should be fine... http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showforum=17
