  1. Just because you pulled a plug does not tell you anything if it is firing. You need to have the plug in the coil and ground the side of the plug to confirm visually if there is spark across the gap and then you will also be able to see if there is any gas in the cylinder being sprayed out.

we took the spark plug out, black as hell and then we cleaned it and put it back in for like 30 minutes took it back out and the spark plug was black as hell again.

  2. Heys guys does anyone know or have an idea where I can find out if this Toyota Navigation will fit my 1996 ES300? I've seen it installed on a 1997 Lexus ES300 and would like to know if it fits the 1996 ES300.

    here are some pics

PS added a photoshoped pic of my car with the nav on.

  3. Did you hold the spark plug connected to the coil and ground it to see if it is actually firing?

YES, I also left the car on and pulled each coil out and when u pull coil 6 on cylinder six it does not do anything but when u pull the other one the engine starts to shake, we also swapped the spark plugs and still cylinder six keep misfiring. (TOYSRME need some of your input)

  4. Heys guys my uncles 1994 ES 300 has a Cylinder 6 misfire, we put it to a scanner and it said

    cylinder 1 = 0

    cylinder 2 = 0

    cylinder 3 = 0

    cylinder 4 = 0

    cylinder 5 = 0

    cylinder 6 = 217 misfire

we pulled and cleaned the spark plug and that didnt work, we also swapped coils and didnt work neither.

If anyone has any idea why this is happening please feel free to give some input

  5. red tops a not really worth the money the yellow is great which i use for all my cars, other wise Kirkland from costco is dirt cheap and can be replaced for free every year without getting it checked.

What size yelow top fits the 96 ES300?

  6. It's probably either Aisin or Sumitomo, but on the ES300, with it being more of a cruiser than a performer, any good aftermarket rotor will perform equivalently. Autopartswarehouse.com has a whole slew of them... from Brembo to PBR. Just stay away from slotted rotors, and keep vented rotors in the front. There are a few listed that have black anodized centers, which are nice because the factory rotors seem to corrode like mad and don't look so good with open custom wheels, unless you paint them (like I did).

I can buy all four PBR Rotors for 120 shipped from carpartsbin so I might go with those and some akebono brake pads
