  1. If you need a new amp i am doing a stereo install and am willing to sell my stock pioneer 4 channel and sub amp and subwoofer. but dcfish is correct about bad amp placement. You wouldnt throw your harmon kardon in the gutter and expect it to work but apparently lexus chose to do that in way. lol.
  2. Have a full working Stock 1 channel amp and subwoofer. price for both is $200 obo and I will soon have the stock 4 channel amp and 12 disc changer for sale as soon as the stereo install is complete. All work and i can provide audio clips from the 4 channel because it still is installed if you would like to hear.   3. Hi, my local shop just got a Greddy exhaust in for a 93-98 GS300, I was wondering if this would fit my 93 SC300. I did a search and couldn't find a strait answer after reviewing 5 pages of possible threads. Any info regarding the GS300 exhaust fitment compared to the SC300 would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I was out driving the other night when and went around a corner at about 25 mph and slammed into a 3 inch wide 6 inch tall tie down strap steel ratchet clamp, my car got high centered and came to grinding halt. I managed to limp it off the road into the ditch and dig it out, this was fairly easy because it was pouring down rain and the ground was mud. I drove my car to the gas station that was at the corner and inspected the damage. Thankfully I still had all my fluids and no leaks, the steel clamp hit the front right and slammed into my lower control arm then back into my LCA mount, after that it slammed into my undercarraige and penetrated it in several spots. The damage I am worried about is the LCA mount. I have put a couple pics here one of the straight mount and one with the bent mount. What do you guys think? How bad is it? Bad mount 1: Bad mount 2: Good mount 1: Good mount 2: This is my poor poor lexo that took the abuse. And to top it off just last night I almost hit a crushed car, yes thats right a crushed car ( junk car that had gone through a car crusher. I was driving home in the pouring down rain again and I ran over a bunch of debri and looked to my left just in time to see a minivan plow into this flattened car that was laying on its side in the middle of the road, and this is at 7 p.m. People are gettin way to careless where they leave their things laying around, Im willing to bet the car hauler that dropped the car off in the middle of the road is the same one that dropped the tie down ratchet. I think someone might have put a curse on my SC though.
  5. Hey, I am having the same problem with my rearend but its sc300 with 5 speed. this car definatly feels like it has some play somewhere in the rearend but i havent been able to pin point it. If you find out what it is let me know
  6. I am replacing the subwoofer and subwoofer amp and installing a 4 channel amp for the mids and if i can figure out how to make it look clean i will install my alpine deck. if you would like specifics just ask.

I have a 93 SC300, 5-speed and live in Washington and have completed my suspension tuning, interior/weight reduction, right now im in the middle of the stereo project and will soon be looking to turbo my car. I plan on using a donor 2jz-gtte engine/6 speed with all the wiring in tact. I am looking for a good honest knowledgeable shop to perform this swap for me in WASHINGTON.   8. How many miles are on your SC? What caused your head gasket to blow?
  9. I put EBC greenstuff pads on the front and raybestos on the back with cross drilled rotors all the way around and changed to dot 4 brake fluid. No more light and the brakes are *BLEEP*ed! This is the 3rd car I have had EBC greenstuff on and I am now 100% confident that these will be the only pads I will buy ever. 1000 degree brake fade point, I cant even find brake fluid that will withstand what these pads will.
  10. 93 SC300-5-speed: My car just got an exhaust leak that is getting louder by the mile. I was attempting to drive home in the snow with my new 245/35/18 Kumho tires and lost control on every banked corner, the car would just slide down the bank into the ditch (this happened 3 times ) and I was only doing 5 mph or so. Everytime I got stuck I had to rock the car back and forth and my best guess is that when I was in reverse I snagged a big chunk of snow and slammed my exhaust. The sound is coming from my engine bay, but I haven't taken the heat shield off yet to see if there are any visible cracks. I am trying to figure out if the manifold and pre-cat are 1 piece or seperate, or if there is a possibilty of just a gasket failure. Has anyone ever experienced a problem like this? I am thinking about switching to Xerd headers but I read that there are some sensors that need to be welded in place of the cats to give the proper reading to ecu, any input on that would be appreciated as well.   11. Hey guys, I am getting ready to buy an LS400 after X-mas. I live in Graham, Washington (near Tacoma) but am willing to drive to Oregon if necassary. The maximum I am willing to spend is $10k but I would definatly like to pay about half of that if at all possible. Thanks guys.   12. Is it my camber causing this problem then? I need to get an alignment anyway but do you think this is why im getting wheel-hop?
  13. I am having this problem as well, except my dash/stereo lights dont cut out. Any time I push my brake pedal the headlights will flicker or dim momentarily. I have also noticed low voltage warning (on my passport escort radar detector) when i turn my blinker on. I have a 93 SC300 with a 5-speed. Any info would be appreciated. Could it be altenator failure?
  14. I recently put a brand new set of Kumho Ecsta Supras 235/40/18's all the way around and still have the same problem. I have lowered the car and not had an alignment done yet. Is the SC suspension capable of having camber adjusted from the factory? I am awaiting my Tien SS's that are on order and am ordering diazan sway bushings as I write this. I will see if that fixes it, but hey even if it doesn't I will be satisfied with purchases I'm sure. Where about in Washington do you live? Do you drift? I drive around the Olympia area but live just south of Tacoma. Thanks for the input.
  15. Somebody must have some info on this. Every time I lose traction the rear of the car bounces up and down. Is it just my car doing this? Anyone else ever lose traction? I live in washington where it rainy most of the year and I have trouble keeping traction in 1st gear especially when turning, and seeing as how i dont have an lsd the car just burnsout and hops. Any info is appreciated.
  16. There is a place called Import Toys has a 2.5 din carbon fiber panel that fits flush into the stock 2.5 stereo location. I believe they are made specifically for the SC, so they fit good. I am personally looking to get some feedback on that item, so if anyone has one installed how is it? They actually have a decent selection of goodies for the SC so check it out if you perfer the exotic dash instead of the dead tree look.
  17. I have read in a couple of forums that when if you use Xerd headers you either have to somehow reuse the oem sensor or buy a GM sensor. This might be just the cat that is located on the downpipe or like you said you might not have to use any sensors. Has anyone actually removed all 3 cats? Feeling lazy right now so if anyone knows are there even sensors hooked up to the 2 back cats? Thanks for your input.

  19. I am trying to find an exhaust shop that will make me some test pipes for my car. I think the only way to get rid of the first one is to buy the Xerd headers but as for the other two I should be able to just get some test pipes made so I can remove them at will. Is this going to affect any readings on my ECU if I remove them? Will my engine still run, If so will it be smooth even at idle? What kind of gains will I be getting by removing just the 2 after the headers? I know somebody has had to do this one so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks everybody.

  22. Hi guys, I am curious about how much the average SC experiences wheel-hop when the rear-end bounces/chatters during a loss of traction)? I have a 93 SC300 5-speed that has horrible wheel hop. If burn out 85% of the time it will my rear-end bounces extremely bad. I tend to lose traction quite alot so this is really getting annoying and I am pretty sure it is going to lead to something breaking. What is the cause of this? Is it bad motor mounts/ tranny mounts, bad struts, rear-subframe bushings? Im unsure of which ones to replace first. If anyone has some positive input or has had this problem or has fixed it please help me out.
  23. You first, I am terrified myself. lol. I really want to do it but its a pretty big risk if the welds end up breaking. My buddy had 4 rear-ends welded up on his AE86, there was a reason in wasn't just one. And the whole point is a CHEAP full lock diff. Does anyone know of a locker or an L.S.D. that is cheaper then $800? It gets pretty irritating hanging it sideways and then all of a sudden the wheels start to transfer power back and forth, very inconsistent drifts in the dry. It doesnt like to hold the slide that long when it transfers the power. So any help will be much appreciated.
  24. Hey guys I got the firewall problem fixed. Lol. To all the guys that just came here to complain about someone they dont even know, get a life. For the people in my defense, thank you for realizing that it is MY car and I WILL do what I want with it. As far as the IRS slop goes I am still having trouble with that. I have ordered Tein basic supra coilovers and will be looking through everything in the rearend when I install them. Thanks everybody for your input, ha ha.
  25. I guarantee that you have water in your spark plug valley. Thats it. Thats all. Your plugs are now cross-firing, and will be doing so until you get the water out of there. Then I suggest that you reset your ecu. This happened to me on a 4A-GE. I have never done it since then.
